Came here on a whim with no real expectations. Delicious food, a nice clean vibe & all of the staff were nice and talkative. Got the ‘dirty dancing’ burger, fantastic. Cant wait to go back and make my way through the menu

For me, this is the best for the year!! Local owners, farm to table. What more could anyone ask for.
A bit of a drive for us from Sevierville but boy oh boy are we coming back!!
It is adjoining to a place next door, the wife manages. We ate at the bar side that the husband manages.
I had the family antipasta salad, hubs had meatballs and pizza, to bring home
Desserts also brownie Sunday our server made. Looked amazing.

The food was great! There were 4 of us so we got to sample 4 diffrent items from the menu. Service was excellent. Nice selection of beer on tap and ones you dont find normally. Definitely recommend!

We had the meatballs, antipasto salad, pizza and Nashville hot chicken sandwich. This was our first time eating here and man have we been missing out. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. My husband said it was the best Nashville hot sandwich he’s ever had.

First time visiting here but we will absolutely be back! The food was amazing and we very much enjoyed sitting outside on the back deck. We were also pleasantly surprised to find they serve Xul beer so we don’t have to drive to Knoxville every time we want a couple drinks and to just hang out!

Went on opening weekend and it was packed! My friend and I both got some hard cider (they were out of the one they have on tap) but it was probably the best cider I’ve had. I got the margarita pizza and it was well worth the wait. We got the buffalo dip and chips as an appetizer and it was genuinely the best buffalo dip I’ve ever had. The chips were warm. Service was great!

Our go to place. Never a disappointment…. We love that it’s family owned and serves local meat. The staff is the best! We leave the kids at home! (You can totally bring, it’s family friendly but sure is nice to have our night out!)

The Mad Ox House in Jefferson City is a fantastic spot for a great meal without breaking the bank. The food is excellent—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The service is just as impressive: friendly, attentive, and welcoming from the moment you walk in. They also have an excellent selection of local brews on tap, which pairs perfectly with any meal. If you’re looking for quality food at a fair price, The Mad Ox House is definitely worth a visit!

Stopped by here on Oct. 19 after the Carson-Newman game for dinner. We got our kids a nachos appetizer and the three small burger meal to share, a fancy salad for my wife, and I got the poppin pepper burger that was on special. Had a draft root beer, a milk, and two waters to drink. Waited about ten minutes for our food to come out. Everything was delicious but the burger was seriously one of the best I’ve ever had…it’s what you dream the perfect burger is and this was it. A tragedy they only have them on Saturdays because this puts all other burgers to shame. Even better was everything cost $62 before tip…so about $15 a person which is just barely above some fast food places nowadays. Service and atmosphere was great. My only complaint is why can’t other restaurants be this awesome? If you’re in Jefferson City you are a fool if you don’t eat here at least once.
