Old town style cafe. We ate lunch had the catfish basket and chicken tender special. The handcut homemade fries I have not had since I quit making them a whole back. When those fried dipped into the gravy I was in heaven

I met with friends for lunch today at the Mabank Cafe. The food was excellent, the quantity was perfect, the service was sweet. Our waitress was a real treat. Attentive and pleasant. I’ll be back. Please keep up the great work. Nothing wrong with the atmosphere. It was more than adequate. I’ve certainly dinned in fancier restaurants, but few matched my experience here for good food and lots of it.

First time here. Kerrigan, our server, was excellent and so attentive! The coffee was good. And we each got the blt and fries. It was one of thr better BLTs I’ve ever had. Simple and good. The fries were great too. But the prices will be what keeps us coming back in! Restaurants can truly learn a thing or two about keeping prices affordable with less overhead cost. The atmosphere was just fine for a Cafe feel. This will be one of our favorites now. Sorry Kerrigan if I incorrectly spelled your pretty, unique name.

We enjoyed our lunch. I had the grilled chicken salad & it was good. My husband had the BLT sandwich with homemade chips. The sandwich was good but the chips were great. Our waitress was slow. She could’ve been over- loaded.

Took family there for lunch. Lovely place with friendly staffs and big dinning room. Its very country feel which I love.
Had their catfish platter, steak and shrimp, chicken fried steak. They all tasted good. Steak was a little over cooked for medium.
They also have buffet breakfast which is interesting.

I always have the BLT and homemade onion rings and my husband loves their breakfast foods. Service is always on point and food is always freshly made and delicious. Quiet cafe and has quickly become a staple for us in local cuisine.

After all this time we finally got to patronize Mabank cafe! And could not be more pleased! The food was absolutely fantastic, home cooked feel!! We were there 7:00 a.m. and enjoyed the best coffee (strong,) giant biscuits and the best fried eggs I’ve had on this Lake! The bacon was perfect! Crisp! The service was so friendly and quick! Amber was an absolute delight! She was happy and attentive! We will most definitely be revisiting! And I don’t say this lightly, I’m known for giving blunt and honest reviews and I leave this one with a full stomach and a smile! Oh and the prices are great!

Very disappointed today. Waited 15 minutes for someone to take order. We’re passed over and order taken for those that came in after twice. Once order was taken ( hamburger steak cabbage and greens with a side dinner salad and a Senior cheese burger) it was 35 minutes before food was brought to table. Dinner salad was never brought. Sent back hamburger steak plate as the whole plate was floating in blood of the meat. The meat was bright red. Senior cheeseburger was done but did not include lettuce and tomato asked for and side of greens in place of fries were cold. Cut the burger and bun in half and split two ways. Paid for drink and Senior burger. Have not ever got bad food or service here, but today was definitely a bad day for both. Even more disappointing was no apology was offered. Star given because hopefully this was just an off day .
