What a sweet gem of a place. This was our first visit and we felt like we were celebrities. Everyone we came in contact with was warm, friendly and helpful. Our server was Patti, and she was super friendly and made it hard to make a decision lol. We ordered the chicken, bacon, avacado ciabatta sandwich and the ultimate reuben. For our side, we opted (for an addl $2) to have their soup of the day, 3 onion and potato. Everything was delicious! We definitely found a new favorite for when we visit the area.

The Lunchbox made my best friend’s wedding cake, and Tom was absolutely amazing to work with! From start to finish it was stress-free, and the result was hands-down the best wedding cake I’ve ever had (including my own). The cake was an ombré chocolate with salted caramel and buttercream icing, and each tier had three different layers—beautiful, decadent, and unforgettable.
One of the coolest parts is Tom’s unique tradition: instead of saving the top tier, the couple gets to enjoy the entire cake on their wedding night, and he makes them a fresh celebration cake for their one-year anniversary. Such a thoughtful touch!
Communication was easy, delivery was perfectly on time, and the cake table itself was stunning—Tom brought décor items and styled the display so it looked picture-perfect. Between his artistry, professionalism, and incredible pricing, this was truly top-notch white-glove service. If you want a masterpiece wedding cake and a stress-free experience, The Lunchbox is the way to go!

Excellent lunch spot! Total hidden gem! The service was outstanding as was the food! They make everything fresh, so it’s beyond delicious. There’s a reason they have such outstanding reviews on Google and now I know why! Definitely recommend! Heads up though, they get busy so there may be a wait to be seated, but it’s totally worth it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My husband and I tried this place for the first time. The service was great, food was even better. Very light, very flavorful. We both left with full bellies and no room for dessert. This is a must try. We had the deviled eggs which come with the most delicious pickles I’ve ever had. They marinate them in house. I had the ham and Brie which comes with a peach chutney. Soooo delicious. My husband had the chicken salad croissant (what they are known for) and it was also very very good. Tasted fresh and flavorful.

The friendly atmosphere enhanced my delicious lunch. I ordered the ham and cheese quiche with a side salad. The quiche was perfectly baked with browned flaky crust and well proportioned eggs, cheese and ham. The salad was fresh and the balsamic vinegar dressing was lovely. I ordered a sweet potato cupcake for dessert. It was not too sugary and the consistency of the cupcake and frosting was perfect!

Hidden gem of Simpsonville! I can’t believe I waited all these years to try this place. The lunch was amazing, reasonably priced, delicious and largely portioned. The chicken salad was divine, the poppyseed dressing was homemade and delicious and the Reuben was NEXT LEVEL. We also tried one of the deserts of the day and it was scratch made and delicious! The service is exceptional. Pattie is the best waitress…always so energetic, personable and attentive. I will 100% be back! This will now be my go-to lunch spot!

Great lunch spot in Simpsonville!
The Lunchbox changed owners and the menu has been updated to serve upgraded lunch items. Sandwiches, salads, and soups dominate the menu but are done very well. The owner is a pastry chef and walks around with the cake of the day. I wish I’d known that going in so I could save room.
The hot chicken salad was the only thing I wasn’t a huge fan of but it’s very unique. It’s what they are known for but for me it wasn’t the highlight.
I almost skipped the split pea soup which was the soup of the day but I’m glad I didn’t. It was full of flavor and the small bits of crouton on the top complimented it beautifully. I had the ham and Brie croissant which was really enjoyable but the peach relish was labeled spicy. I think it needed the heat to cut through some of the richness but it wasn’t spicy at all. It was still really great.
Oddly my favorite was the pickled okra served on the side. Adding this to the appetizers would be a great addition!
Service was spectacular. There is No in May one server and the owner at the front. You would have never known one person was waiting on 10 or so groups at one time. Everyone was so friendly and helpful understanding the menu. The restaurant itself is setup well with a few outdoor tables as well.
Give it a try!

This place is amazing. The service was excellent and fast and the food is so tasty and delicious! Highly recommend. They are only open 11am to 230 so get there during those hours and do not let the wait for a table scare you – totally worth it.

I had a meeting in town and wanted to grab a quick lunch. This spot caught my attention and I got the last open table outside. The Salad Plate was fantastic. My three choices were broccoli, black eyed pea and chicken salad. It was very filling and fresh. Definitely on my list to come back next time!
