I have seen this place for years but never stopped in. I should have eaten here sooner. Parking is crazy. The space is limited but somehow not cramped. But the food is really good. The portions are reasonable, which I really liked, and our food came out quickly. The biggest problem will be getting a table. A great place and definitely worth going.

The food was great! The server was funny, friendly and fast. He told us a story about his 1st job as a waiter. We loved the vintage lunch boxes hanging from the walls.
I had pancakes. They were very good! Large and fluffy. The prices were very reasonable. We will be going back.

Stopped into The Lunchbox at Magnolia & Tennessee for an early brunch, craving breakfast classics. My son’s omelet with home fries came out fluffy and perfectly seasoned, while my Country Fried Steak and gravy—with a warm biscuit on the side—hit every comfort-food note. Service was friendly and right on time, and the menu packs plenty of breakfast choices for any mood. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a solid, satisfying start to the day in Tallahassee.

this place is so cute with the vintage lunchboxes, but it’s pretty small. we came just before 10 on a sunday, but it was a wait outside the door after that so i recommend getting there early. to be honest, the food was not good. the bacon was overdone and hard as a rock, like they threw it in the fryer. additionally, the “sausage” was like a huge kielbasa-like meat that didn’t taste like breakfast sausage at all. cheap but honestly not worth it.

The breakfast at this location wasn’t good at all, although not the worst I’ve had definitely not something I would consider spending on in the future. Scrambled eggs felt extremely firm leaving an unpleasant flavor after eating. To maintain fairness I’m unable to fairly assess the breakfast sandwich as it seemed to be better than the breakfast platter however after the platter left a strange unpleasant after taste I don’t believe I can offer a fair assessment on the sandwich. The coffee seemed acceptable but overall not a location I’d consider revisiting.

The staff are amazing and the waitress was so friendly. Although it was very crowded but we got our food fast and very hot.
The pancakes were so good and fluffy, but the French toast tasted like eggs i couldn’t eat them.

We arrived along 9:30 am. The place was PACKED. Parking was an issue for others but we got in a spot. The place was buzzing with customers. Very busy. We sat outside in the warm sun. It was nice. The noise from the street was distracting and loud. There wasn’t any available indoor seating, at the time. People seemed very pleased with they food. It took about 30 minutes for our order to come out. I got a western burger. Hubs got a breakfast plate. He ordered biscuits and gravy. But they were out so he got hash browns instead of the biscuits. We both agreed that the food was bland. I had to add ketchup and hot sauce and salt. I had to get up to look for mustard and extra napkins. We never saw our waitress after we got our food. I had to go inside to pay. I probably won’t be back. It was waffle house quality.

I had a fantastic meal at this charming little diner that serves breakfast and lunch all day long. The menu offered a wide range of options, but I ended up choosing the country-fried steak and eggs, which turned out to be a real treat. The steak had a nice peppery bite to it, and the homemade country gravy was the perfect complement to the dish. The biscuit that accompanied it was also deliciously fluffy and flaky.

I couldn’t resist trying the blueberry pancake, and it was definitely worth it. It was one of the best pancakes I’ve ever had – perfectly fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness.

The diner may be small, but the food is outstanding and well worth the wait. I highly recommend stopping by to enjoy a meal at this gem of a spot in Tallahassee.
