I almost hesitate to write this review, because I don’t want to share this hidden gem with the masses… that said, they are phenomenal! The menu isn’t expansive, but what they do, they do extremely well. Despite it being a bar, this is NOT “bar food” – it’s more like the plate you bring home from your auntie’s house after the cookout.
Editing to add: I just read other reviews mentioning poor service. I’m not sure if I’m just catching them at the right time or if they had some staff turnover, but in my 3 lunchtime visits, I’ve always received excellent service.

Stopped in this to watch Monday night football. It was freezing inside this place to the point of us leaving at halftime. The food was good, and it came out kinda fast. Drinks are on point with plenty of TVs to watch. The fish and chicken combo with yams and spicy greens were on point as well.

I wish to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service received at this establishment. The level of customer service was markedly inadequate, characterized by unprofessional behavior and dismissive attitudes from the staff, particularly the bartenders. Despite placing my order at 3:00 PM, I did not receive my food until approximately 4:16 PM, and upon delivery, no apology was offered for the delay. The staff appeared indifferent to customer concerns, and the food was served at an undesirable, cold temperature.
Additionally, the operation appeared disorganized, exemplified by an incident where a bartender requested payment for my order. I presented the money, yet she repeatedly passed by without collecting it, displaying a lack of attentiveness and professionalism. Overall, the staff demonstrated rude behavior and an apparent inability to efficiently multitask in a manner conducive to a positive customer experience.
The ambiance of the establishment was also less than satisfactory, with a predominantly unprofessional environment. While the food quality itself was acceptable when delivered promptly and at the proper temperature, the repeated poor service and disorganized conduct have significantly impacted my overall experience.
I have visited this establishment on three separate occasions, attempting to support a local Black-owned business, but each visit has resulted in similar disappointments. Improvements in staff training, adherence to professional business etiquette, and overall customer service are necessary to elevate this establishment to a standard befitting a reputable business.

The food was great but absolutely terrible customer service. The bartender today was rude, didn’t greet me whatsoever. Not a “Welcome” “I’ll be with you in a minute” “How can I help you?” “Are you ready to place an order” not nothing! She saw me walk in and stand at the bar for to-go orders but after 15 minutes passed I had to say something since she didn’t care to. After I placed my order I sat at the bar in one of the few available seats which had trash on the countertop from the prior patrons that she neglected to clean. I watched another patron walk in and do as I did, the bartender did the same thing to her! Sad… The quality of service should be better than the quality of their food.
