Unexpectedly delicious! The fish was cooked to perfection and the flavors of everything kept me going in for more. The staff was very attentive in keeping our drinks full and table clean, while the zydeco music held a light, celebratory atmosphere. I am definitely recommending this place to everyone.

Cañon City has a ‘Lost Cajun’ on the loose and we are so glad we found him!!! We loved this place. The people were friendly, the atmosphere made me feel like I was in the French Quarter and the food was Cajun-spiced to perfection. They even had a tester ‘flight’ so you can try the different soups, gumbos and bisques before committing to a whole order (absolutely genius!) We had hush puppies, gator bites, boudin balls, fried shrimp and some of the best lobster bisque ever. (Next time we’ll have to save room for Beignets!) All I can say is I sure hope the Lost Cajun wanders over to Colorado Springs and starts up a restaurant here!

Want Cajun and your on the road. This is the spot to stop, to go or sit down can’t go wrong. First time and out of town, they bring a sample tray to try. They all hit the spot and are good! This is a must try place on my list. Gator bite are worth it as well. The staff there tonight was awesome. (Not sure where to eat, this is the place.) 😉

Food was so yummy!!! The shrimp stir fry had a good spicy kick to it but very good. Okra… I could eat 1000 of them! So very good!!! Sample platter was great! Loved the gumbo and red beans the most!

We are locals but this was our first time trying this place. We’ve heard lots of great things so we had high hopes unfortunately they were quickly dissolved. We ordered through doordash and our food arrived quickly but the food we received was subpar. I absolutely adore hush puppies but the hush puppies we received were burnt and seemed to have no flavor other than spicy (I’ve never had a spicy hush puppy before). I ordered the shrimp platter and for $18 I certainly expected more than 8 shrimp, some stale fries, and a comically small piece of garlic bread. The shrimp had great flavor but for the price I paid, there should have been *significantly* more food and the fries not old. My husband had the chicken po boy and it was laughable. Dry, over fried chicken with mayo on soggy bread. Not fresh and no flavor and no fixings. I’ve never seen a po boy that was just mayo and bread. For $12 it was embarrassing that a restaurant would serve that. Lastly, the coleslaw was so incredibly bland and disappointing. It was literally just shredded cabbage with mayo and a bit of pepper. No salt, no tang, no sweetness, zero flavor. So needless to say my husband and I were BEYOND disappointed after spending almost $50 on such awful food. We were SO excited to try this restaurant but our hunt for a fantastic local restaurant continues. Sigh.

I’ve been going to The Lost Cajun for years.. Used to be a nice place to eat delicious food.. Lately, not so great.. I was there Wednesday and every employee was outside smoking, while the inside looked dirty.. Catfish was under cooked,Cumbo was dry and flavorless, slaw looked and tasted old, restaurant and restroom was a mess.. I KNOW THE OWNER WOULDN’T BE HAPPY AT ALL.. YOU HAVE TIME TO LEAN,YOU HAVE TIME TO CLEAN.. STOP MILKING THE CLOCK.. Remember, you never know who you’re serving.. DO BETTER..

We ordered take out. I am a super picky fish eater. We ordered the fish and shrimp plate- superior dinner. From the fish and shrimp to the fries and tartar sauce. Also ordered a bowl of gumbo. Super great taste- a little spicy but if you like a little spicy you’ll love it. Great service!
