The Long Bar Pub & Grill is one of those classic neighborhood spots that grows on you the more time you spend there. It has that true local-bar energy — a mix of regulars, friendly bartenders, loud laughs, pool games going on in the background, and that familiar “Cheers-style” vibe where people aren’t afraid to say hello. It’s definitely a casual hangout, but that’s exactly the charm.
The food is surprisingly solid, especially for a bar. The wings are a standout — crispy, flavorful, and consistently good — and the pizza seems to be a crowd favorite for a reason. You can tell the kitchen actually cares about putting out quality bar food instead of just the basics. We also tried the burger and fried appetizers, and everything came out hot and well-seasoned.
Service is hit or miss, but when it’s good, it’s great.
Most bartenders are attentive, quick with refills, and good at keeping the vibe friendly.
During busy times, you may wait a bit longer than you’d like, but that’s pretty normal for a place with this kind of steady crowd. Prices for drinks and food are definitely reasonable, especially compared to a lot of other bars in Tampa.
The atmosphere is exactly what you’d expect from a long standing local pub laid back, a little loud, and full of personality. There are multiple pool tables, darts, TVs for sports, and plenty of seating.
It’s not a polished, upscale bar, and it doesn’t try to be; it’s more of a relaxed hangout where you can grab a drink, play a game, and stay as long as you want.
Smoking inside might bother some people, but regulars seem used to it.
The reason this is a solid four stars instead of five is mostly consistency.
Some nights the place is on point great service, great food, great energy.
On others, it can feel a little chaotic with slower service and a louder, rough around the edges crowd.
But overall, it’s still a reliable go to spot for affordable drinks, comfort food, and a laid back time with friends.
If you enjoy classic local pubs with personality, cold drinks, and surprisingly good food, The Long Bar is definitely worth a visit.

The wait staff can be a bit clique-y, but good enough. Lots of good locals who have been around the block 93 times or so (but I have too).Food is decent for a dive bar. Pretty good tv action. Beer is solid. This is where people go to feel accepted.

Such a great little neighborhood bar. Some would call it a dive but it’s certainly much more than a typical dive. The pizza was great… drinks were reasonable and the bartenders were attentive. Likes it so much we came back again!

Perfect dive bar with exceptional food. They also have nice pool tables and dart boards. The drinks are reasonably priced and the staff are all very friendly. I don’t frequent this place too often anymore, since I don’t drink nearly as much as I used to, but I still order their food from UberEats because I miss eating it. I can’t stress enough how good the food is for being made in a bar. The portions are large and the prices are good. I love their burgers, the club sandwich, and their wings. Whether you stop in for drinks and a bite to eat or if you order off UberEATS you won’t be disappointed.

Down to earth folks – customers and employees both. We just grabbed a quick drink, but had a good time. Multiple patrons said hi. Clean spot. Found parking easy but could be a problem during busier times.

My boyfriend and I came here Halloween night, not too busy but still lively. Daphne was our bar host and she was nice/friendly. Had some wings, modelo and jell-o shots. Wings were delicious!! Some of the best i’ve had in the area. Definitely recommend this place!

The bar is clean, the bartenders are nice and attentive, and the drinks are reasonably priced. The food blows all of that out of the water. The food is amazing, if you asked me what my last meal was it would be the grilled ham and cheese. The chef is amazing.
