Food is excellent. Service is great. Just go there are food for everyone. I am vegetarian and my husband eat meat we both left happy. Probably the best restaurant in the area. The only thing is the ambiance could take some arrangements and change of color. Would love to see the place with a character … the blue and white felt like I was in a hospital … maybe some plants?

Cannot say enough good things about The Locks! The new menu is amazing, so many different options and with the additions of handhelds, something for everyone. The drinks are always exactly what you are looking for and the selection of beer and liquor is on point for my taste

I had a terrible old fashioned. Bartender spent time talking with friends and shared a drink (a no no). Lobster pasta dish had no flavor at all. House salad was good. Major disappointment. Maybe still too new.

When I saw the name locks “grill,” I expected more casual fare. It is not really a family restaurant, but they do have grilled cheese and pasta for kids. The majority of the menu is steak and seafood, so if you like steak and seafood, then you would probably like this place. I, however, do not. I got the one entree that was not steak or seafood, and the chicken was dry, and the potatoes were bland. My husband said that his steak tasted good but was fatty, and the amount of potatoes and asparagus that came with it were about what I would serve to my children. He did not feel full after eating his meal. I got a blueberry vodka lemonade that did not taste at all like blueberry and was more like vodka with watered down lemonade. The service was good – fast and friendly, but overall I was disappointed.

I am not one to leave reviews let alone one that is not of greatness. My boyfriend and I enjoyed coming to the previously owned Black Bear. So we decided to stop in and give “The Locks” a try. We had been driving around in Windham not able to make up our mind on where to stop. We ventured down the road into Naples and thought heck let’s give it a try. To our surprise it was still as cute as it was when it was the Black Bear. The hostess was friendly and polite and greeted us with a smile. She offered the bar are we politely declined, as my boyfriend quit drinking 10 days ago. one of the reasons we opted not to stop at a tavern or a bar.We stuck with water which was lukewarm on a very hot summer day. When she seated us she handed us the beverage menu (2 pages) as well as food menu (3/4 of a page) she asked what we would like to drink. Again stuck with water which was lukewarm on a hot summer day. We ordered calamari as an appetizer it was just ok not really a portion size for two for $15. We spent some time looking at the menu even though there were limited items four different steak entrees only difference was flavor one was a prime rib. I ordered glazed salmon, veggie of the day which was green beans and a lime rice. ($30) My boyfriend ordered a surf and turf which consisted of prime rib, shrimp and scallop skewer, veggie and roasted potatoes. (40$). She took our food menu and offered to leave the drink menu we again said we’re all set with drinks. I didn’t think anything of the price until our plates came out. We both looked at each other and didn’t have to say anything we knew what the other was thinking. His prime rib was so small my 4 year old granddaughter would have finished no problem, he literally cut 6 bite size bites, there were 6 little pieces of roasted potato, (I’d be surprised if it was a whole small size potato) 2 pieces of shrimp and two medium to smaller size scallop was on the skewer and a few green beans. He said the skewer was awful. My salmon was ok size the ends of the salmon was the best part the middle was dry and just wasn’t that good, the rice was ok and my few green beans were good. I didn’t finish my salmon and I love salmon if cooked properly. After our food was delivered we no longer saw our waitress. We finished it quickly as there wasn’t much to eat and waited awhile for our check We left out of there still hungry and annoyed to say the least. The more we got down the road the more my boyfriend was upset after replaying it all. Needless to say we won’t be returning which is sad, we aren’t hard to please.

The ribeye was a great cut and perfectly cooked (medium rare). I can only laugh at the review about someone’s husband saying the steak was “too fatty”; learn your cuts, folks. The remodel cost a lot of the charm of the old Black Bear, but was done beautifully and had to be done. Make the mixed drinks a bit stronger and it would be 5 stars.
