Had a great experience at dinner at The Local on 50th. The wait staff was super friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent and the drinks were good too. They had a live band while we were there and it added to the ambiance. It wasn’t too loud either, so you could both enjoy the music and still talk with people at your table. Will definitely be back!

What a great, fun, spur of moment eatery! Very welcoming. Modern setting. Inviting outside seating if so desired. Joanna was our server. Fairly new to the Local family. While Bree, another server, was training. Both were informative and just a positive energy. But the utmost was the Owner, Joey. Such a pleasant demeanor while he, himself checked on practically everyone in his restaurant. He is definitely very involved. His restaurant is very welcoming.
Flatbread: The dough differed from others. Dough is made of rice, wheat, and soy. Very flavorful.
Ahí Tostadas had a beautiful presentation. A little more ahí would have been nice. But they were flavorful as well.

Tonight we placed a TO GO order from the dinner menu. I ordered a chopped wedge. I specifically asked them to hold the bleu cheese twice. The salad came with bleu cheese and looked quite pathetic for $17, it “barely snd I mean barely filled the container. I called and they refunded my money which was great but a nice wedge with no bleu cheese would have been much better. Very disappointing

We got waited on quickly. Got our drinks and meal. And that was it. Water wasn’t brought, had to go to bar for water. My Vodka pasta was awesome tasting except the pasta was on the skimpy side. Normally, I can barely finish my meal. But this skimpy serving left me scrapping the bowl clean with my bread. When the bill came (delivered by a different server) I was asked how was your meal. I said the pasta was on the skimpy side and nobody came to ask. They apologized and quickly offered to comp. That was nice.

Though the food was really good and well prepared, both times the bill was incorrect and we were charged four dollars more than the price on the menu, but no one had mentioned any changes in price and in another instance we paid extra for a side salad, but they wouldn’t give us the fries that come with the meal. I think most people don’t itemize the bill or don’t remember the prices when the bill comes.
