I rarely give five stars, but this place deserves it! I was in town for business, and my partners at Irish Titan took us to this place not once but twice in two days! I did not mind at all!! The food was delicious, the beer was cool as hell, and our server was on top of everything! I can’t remember his name, but he was one of the only male servers working on 10/15 & 10/16. He is the shit. Give that dude a raise! Oh, and those Korean chicken bites were fire!

We love this place, and appreciate its convenient location near the Orpheum and Target Center! The atmosphere, delicious menu items, and great service make it a reliable go-to for our Minneapolis events and meet-up with friends ♥️ Highly recommend the Pub Curry and the Pot Roast Sandwich!! Kira was our server, and so helpful in her recommendations for both beverages and favorite menu items!

Not gonna lie this place was GREAT. Living in Minneapolis I forget how many great places are downtown and this is definitely one of them. Would be a fun spot to watch sports as well. The fish and chips was definitely some of the best I’ve had in Minnesota, on par with anchor fish and chips. Everyone loved their food as well.

10/10 recommend the curry, sharing all the desserts, and enjoying a cocktail. It was a busy night as we were there for a conference but it was worth the wait! Beautiful and unique interior.

We reserved a table for the holiday Whimsy pop up event. We got there and checked in and had a drink at the bar. It was beautifully decorated. I’m sure we just had a fluke situation as our neighbor table had the full experience as we watched but we were missed on card tricks and tarot readings. We really enjoyed the singing Santa and the juggling. The oddest part… We stated we wanted dessert before we ordered dinner. Our dinner came and we said we’d like the dessert too. When they came to clear our plates we asked if we could get more drinks and dessert. We managed to get a drink but no more waitress until she came with the bill because they were sending us out for the next crowd. She said we could get dessert to go our in the bar.

The chicken pub pie was excellent. The atmosphere was upbeat and fun. My only issue was I sat at the bar and the service was not very attentive. I had to flag the bartenders to get a to-go box and my tab. I was also never checked on for meal satisfaction.

I was very pleasantly surprised about their brunch menu. The ham and cheese omelet was the best I’ve had. The ham was super flavorful and perfectly paired with the cheese. We also had the Irish skillet, which was incredibly tasty with a nice amount of spice. The creamy hashbrowns sealed the deal. I’ve never thought of the Local as a brunch place, but I will definitely be back!

I really wanted to enjoy my experience here. At least I could say I gave this spot a try. Minus the service, I would give the atmosphere and food 4.5 stars. Ordered (and pictured here) their Cheese Curds – dipping sauce tasted like yummy nacho cheese; Fish (Cod) and Chips – breading on the cod was excellent. The person who brought out my food chuckled like I made a mistake with ordering the Cod, though; and Steak Frites which was ok.

Elevated bar bites and delicious filling mains!

I got the corned beef and WOW! so much food, definitely shareable, and so so savory.

The walleye was fresh and well fried, in a light buttery batter.

Perfectly poured Guinness’ real made the meal!

Very pleasant, stopped in for lunch on a Friday. Appreciate the refinement of this Pub, but it’s the extraordinarily delicious Reuban sandwich with fresh greens on the side with your choice of vinaigrettes that sold me. The rest of their menu is thoughtfully currated. Can’t wait to try more. Sorry no picture, too busy eating. It’s not as messy as the typical Reuban.
