I loved it. The stuffed lobster was amazing and it was about $15 dollars cheaper than the last one I had in Boston. We had four people go and after tip it was around 200. We also ordered a lot of food and what we wanted. I will go back. It was a perfect old fishing restaurant vibe. Was going to buy a sweater but $81 is a little much so I skipped on that.

People there are SUPER friendly and down to earth. Seemed thankful for the business. The food ranged from ok to good. Me being a foodie makes it hard for me. I like to leave honest reviews but when a business is so kind, it’s hard to say anything bad.
First off, it was their last day of the season, so hopefully that played a part in the lack of “wow factor.” The broiled scallops I ordered were very good and by far the best thing I tried. The clam chowder was awesome! So definitely try that!
The baby carrots were hard as a rock, almost like they’d not been boiled much at all. They need much more cook time and seasoning. The red boiled potatoes were ok. Needed a lot of salt added but other than that they’re good. Would be great with some old bay and real butter. ☺️
My husbands lobster roll was the worst we’ve had along the coast. So many pieces of the white cartilage or whatever is inside of lobster that is normally filtered out. He kept pulling pieces out of his mouth. I think normally the person cleaning them normally does that a little more precisely. It was also supposed to be hot. It wasn’t. Luke warm at best. Of course we’ve had lobster rolls up and down the coast so it was a little bit of let down as this was our last stop before heading home.
The fries were very bad. Almost raw tasting or freezer burnt in the middle. Our nice server brought us a fresh batch, while hotter, they still had that off flavor. Not sure if that’s the norm or maybe they were old due to end of season.
If you want a friendly place to stop, definitely try them out. Get the scallops and clam chowder. They’re great. If you want a lobster roll maybe wait to try one on further up the coast.
FYI: our hands down favorite so far is Bar Harbour Lobster pound. Their featured one with some kind of aoli. I forget the name. Hard to beat that one. Be aware that all lobster rolls are different and don’t judge them all by one.
Thankful for the response from the owner. I’m glad to know the things we didn’t enjoy aren’t their norm. I’m sure in peak season it would have been a better experience. I hope yall have a great winter break and a wonderful season next year!

The best fried seafood platter I’ve ever gotten. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. I haven’t stopped thinking about it since I was in last. Will definitely be making a trip back out there next year for some great fish!

Order food and non-alcoholic drinks at the counter and have a seat. The server will be around to pick up your ticket.
Server brought our beverages quickly and the food arrived piping hot and fresh. We were told it may be a long wait (slightly busy) but it was like 5-10 minutes tops.
The Food: Warm lobster roll with melted butter, sweet potato fries and a side of slaw and a cup of the most delicious lobster bisque!! We shared and it was the perfect amount. Clean plate award!! We weren’t overly starving so sharing was perfect. About $55 for our meal. While that may be pricey to some, I mean… it’s fresh caught lobster. And we shared and it was the perfect amount for our hunger level.
Overall, it was great. The food was top notch. If you’re looking for fine dining, this isn’t it. But, the food was awesome. I love supporting family owned businesses. Definitely would recommend.

Four meals, 2 kids meals and 2 adults (steak and double lobster) put us back 100 dollars. The steak was phenomenal! The lobster was good as well. The staff was incredible. Just a heads up, you pay before you get your meal and you can tip then as well. We did and then after our waitress was so friendly we felt the need to tip again. I would suggest not doing it when you pay for your meal.

Wonderful landmark family owned restaurant with delicious food. Only open seasonal, May through early September, and with a line to order during normal busy times. Go inside to view a large menu, with pictures, on the wall under a covered patio. Order your food at the service window, pay, then find a seat inside or outside, or take out is available. A waitserver will approach your table for your drink order. This server will take your food receipt, deliver your drinks and the food when it’s ready. Full bar is available. Tasty refreshing margaritas were made for us. We had the large lobster, fried clams and shrimp entree. It was served with fries and coleslaw. Everything was cooked fresh when we ordered. The lobster was split in half. Our food was very delicious. Our service was quick and server was friendly and knowledgeable. Free parking is available in two lots. We enjoyed our visit and will come back next time we visit this area.

I’ve gotten good here 3 times, and each time was worse than before. The wait time here is absolutely insane. We waited 30 minutes to order and then another 30 minutes for our order. There were maybe 4 takeout orders before us, and there were only 3 tables taken inside! Prices here are unjustifiably high for the portion that you get, and food is not great either. 40$ (!!!) for the portion of clams in the picture. RIDICULOUS!

Order at the window, take a seat. They deliver the food to you. Quiet night. Very nice friendly staff. Fried seafood platter came with lemon and tartar sauce, they happily supplied seafood sauce when asked. Drinks were good and larger than expected. The clam chowder was ok, garlic mash was meh and broiled scallops were a generous serving , served hot. Dessert pie was old and out of a refrigerator. The seating is basic and worn but maybe that’s part of the charm.
