The Livery is one of my favorite spots to visit when I’m in Eau Claire! They have tons of mixed seating indoors and outdoors, their menu always has diverse offerings that appeal to anyone, and their vibe is simultaneously hip and low-key.

The Livery has a great laidback vibe. They have a unique menu that offers a good variety. I recommend their salads which have great homemade dressings. The patio is a great place for a bonfire and to enjoy a drink on a summer evening.

Good food with non local craft beer. This was surprising due to the proximity of Leinenkugels. The big turnoff is the 18% living wage addon. The server would have received a 20% tip if I had not seen that forced tip on the bill.

Such a great place for unusual ambiance and great service. The onion rings and salmon are dah bomb. The Livery lager was tasty, hand cut fries with the fish and chips a nice touch.

The Livery is amazing! Love their Sangria – a must get! We enjoyed some onion rings – golden and crispy served with a special dipping sauce. The rings in Eau Claire!

Our 2nd choice for dinner tonight. Small menu, but great if perfected, which it was. A bit expensive but good food. Was looking for something more “less”, like a thin crust pizza, etc… Cod was good and pulled pork nachos great too. Just not what we were after. Other customers seemed great with what they ordered and having a good time!

Wow! We had a great time at The Livery. Our server was very attentive and helpful describing beers and menu items. We had cheese curds as an appetizer. Very good, top ten for us. Our entrees were all delicious; Bahn Mi, KFC, and Pesto Chicken. A side of sweet potato tots with a unique dipping sauce rounded it out. Just an awesome time.

Great food, service & atmosphere. Why 4 stars? Just wondering why the 18% living wage fee added to the bill. Inquiring if “tip” was included since we give 20% or more. No – it’s not. It’s so that the cook, dishwasher & not sure who else are paid. Thus, it was as if we still needed to add a tip. I then gave an extra 20% on the food portion of the bill. Which actually means I walked away with 38% tip with my calculations as a consumer towards service fee. Not sure what to think of this. Certainly didn’t want to short the server. Not from the area. Don’t know how many people know this extra charge is included and tip is also expected -so Fyi. It was explained so they could pay some of the other workers $15/hour ….

We’ve been to the Livery many times, mostly for billiards upstairs but recently we were seated in the rear of the building in a vestibule of sorts. Kind of nice and out of the way actually. Staff was attentive. Seating is spaced appropriately and food is fair albeit relatively expensive. It’s above average and earns consideration whenever we think about going out for dinner.

I really enjoyed the vibe of the livery. The outside seating was really nice. The service was solid, we had some nice and thoughtful waiters. The bahn mi sandwich was excellent, it joined the clean plate club. Also, the cocktails and bloody Marys hit the spot. The dragon mussels special was pretty lousy, seemed like an after thought and the mussels were overcooked and under seasoned. Their staples were on point around the table. Overall, really good experience and will come back.
