I had the chance to visit The Little Red Schoolhouse, and it was a truly memorable experience. The first thing that stands out is the breathtaking mountain view being surrounded by endless trees and fresh air makes you feel fully part of nature. Sitting by the wide windows or out on the deck, you get the perfect blend of great food and the peacefulness of the outdoors.
Inside, the main floor has a warm and rustic atmosphere. The wooden tables are beautifully crafted and give the restaurant a natural style that fits perfectly with the setting. It feels cozy but also unique, like every detail has been chosen to complement the view outside.
The staff deserves a special mention they were friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. As a first-timer, I appreciated how clearly they gave directions and explained the menu. They made sure I felt comfortable right away.
The food was fantastic too. I ordered the lobster roll with fries, and it was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Definitely worth the trip.
It took me about an hour from Manchester to get there, but the drive through the scenic back roads was part of the charm. For the view, atmosphere, and service, this place is absolutely worth it.
Thank you

THIS IS NOT GOOD FOOD!!! Very bland, scallops very small and over cook meat like texture, fish was hard as a brick. Straight out the freezer. This the kind of food you find at a fair. Not to add clump of onion rings soggy and not crispy at all. Unfortunately we trashed majority of our food. Way too pricey for the quality. Never again.

Gets really crowded! Roof seating is popular in the summer, no reservations first come first serve. Sometimes it’s so busy you can’t find parking. Mostly seafood menu, serves beer and ice cream ! Good for dates and family supper 🙂

Amazing location, definitely sit rooftop but grab some bug spray before you go in. The staff was so friendly and helpful! The food was excellent! We had the fried pickles, clam belly roll, hot buttered lobster roll, bacon jam burger and mac and cheese, and we added lobster. Everything was phenomenal!! Save room for ice cream! We didn’t get any pictures of the food unfortunately, but enjoy the view! We will be back for the foliage!

Food couldn’t have been better. We had the hot buttered lobster roll. The brioche bun was perfectly toasted. The salad was perfect. I felt like we were eating in a tree house. It was a great stop before the hike/walk at the Flume Gorge. They also had a great gift shop.

Cute and rustic place with beautiful views – feels like eating in the trees. As a vegetarian, there were not a lot of options, but we looked at the menu ahead of time so it was no surprise.
We ordered the Graduation Grilled Cheese and the Kids Grilled Cheese. Both were delicious and came with fries, while the kids also came with a generous scoop of ice cream (quite a few flavors to choose from). To note: both sandwiches were the same size, so if you want regular grilled cheese and ice cream, this is the way to go.
The handcrafts shop in the front was cute as well.

I had the A+ lobster roll. Delicious! While it was all claw meat (I prefer a mixture of claw and tail), it was really good. Lightly tossed in a dressing with lemon notes, and piled into a toasted brioche roll. The onions rings were quite good. You really can’t beat the view!
