Loved stopping at this little breakfast type diner, eggs & bacon were cooked perfect, the cinnamon roll & coconut pie was Amazing! Will have to stop back sometime for another slice of pie! Great prices, our server was friendly. All around a nice breakfast date with friends.

We were visiting GOTL for the weekend and heard they had the best pie. So I ordered breakfast with a side of pie. The food was good, especially the red potatoes (they have 3 kinds of breakfast potatoes). The chocolate crème pie was homemade and delicious. I will never eat another Sara Lee’s frozen pie again. The service was great. They seated us right away even though they were busy and Lauren was amazing! She multitasked with a smile and greeted each guest with a smile and ready to refill your coffee before you could ask…attentive. I’ll be back.

Generous portions, low prices, quick service. What more can you ask for. The biscuits and gravy with and added egg were great! The chicken fried steak is fantastic. Pie to go is always an option…and they have cream pies on the weekend. I recommend the banana. A local staple and always a good breakfast option! Enjoy

We had breakfast here and enjoyed an omelette and country fried steak. This is a popular restaurant, so sometimes there may be a wait especially on the weekends. I’ve ordered food to go as well. Our guests from Buttercup Cottage also have good things to say about this restaurant and they like that it is within walking distance. Good quality classic diner food, I definitely recommend.

My friends and I wanted to try this spot because it had some good reviews. We were aware they may be busy and have a wait. When we walked in no one spoke to us, then a gentleman walking out said we should be able to sit wherever. I’m thinking he was a regular? So my friend walked into the dining room to the right, THAT’S when they decided to speak to us. They took our name and we went outside to wait. We didn’t wait very long before a young lady popped her head out and told us to sit at table 1 and went back in. She didn’t give us menus or offer drinks, just told us where to sit. As we waited for someone to come offer menus or drinks, the table next to us were served coffee but the server couldn’t take 5 seconds to acknowledge us or offer us drinks. We then realized she went to make another pot of coffee and while doing so, was loudly explaining to diners sitting at the counter how they’re short handed. Nbd, we continued to patiently wait. After about 20 minutes a young man comes around with the fresh coffee. He even commented on how “dry” our mugs were and asked if we were offered drinks. We said no and he asked if wanted waters. We said yes, he leaves and NEVER RETURNED. After another 10 minutes and seeing others come right in and sit down I told my friends we should leave. All of us have worked in restaurants, we understand being under staffed and busy on a Sunday and we were very patient. From other reviews I’ve read this is happens often and they serve regulars before anyone else. So if you’re just visiting, skip this spot because you don’t know if you’re actually going to get served. Or try it and leave like we did.

The servic was very good, it was very fast. The food was hot and fresh. The eggs were perfect, just the way I like them. I would not have done anything different in my own kitchen. The only thing that I would say was not good, was the iced coffee. It came from a mix and tasted like it. It was the only thing not made fresh to order. Now I understand that they are not a coffee shop, so I can give them a pass on the iced coffee, but a good cold brewed would not be any harder to do, and might even lower the food cost for that item. Overall great experience, will go back.
