honestly I have no complaints about this place. The food comes out quick, the dude working the counter is a pro, and it’s got classic vibes. you could get a hot dog for less than $5 I think here. it is even air conditioned inside

I ordered takeout randomly at my office job and figured I would try this place out. I was not disappointed one bit. The small order of fries is totally worth the price. I was shocked at how many fries I had. The 1/3 American Cheeseburger was just perfect. If I lived in the area I feel like I would come here a lot. The parking confused me because I’m from the suburbs, but it was completely doable and fine. Will definitely order again.

Stopped in here today while I waited for an oil change across the street. The service was friendly and fast, and the food was good! I had a veggie burger with everything on it with a drink and fries.

Order the signature burger and their fresh cut fires. It was very good. I don’t believe I ever had a burger on french bread before but it there’s always a first time. They have outdoor seating if you want to sit down and enjoy a nice meal.

We are glad to see “Hot Dog Island” (as we knew it 53 years ago) is still there and open for business. We were just married, working in Evanston and the wife found this little jewel in the middle of 5 Points. Best damn hot dog and fries ever. I guess that’s why they are still in business. We’ll have to make the 3 hour drive some day and revisit the Island. They still serve it on a sesame seed bun with a dill spear, just as we remember, amazing. We can taste the dog and fries already!

Its a little hole in the wall joint. Quaint place for local eatery. Got the dog that was good. Ham n cheese….. meh ham was a lil overcooked so it made it tougher to chew. Mushrooms were good. Parkin was a tad challenging but will return food made it worth while.
