I thoroughly enjoyed the little hen, it’s a cute, romantic restaurant that brings a little slice of Europe to the USA. I think the waitress was very accommodating and considering the small space and amount of people, I would say she was talented at what she did.
The food was great and pretty authentic, I didn’t give this five stars as I have had the amazing French food elsewhere in the world, but considering it’s locality I would say this was in fact a five stars.
The restaurant is small, so ensure you book ahead of time. I recommend the duck.

I don’t even know how to put into words how incredible our experience at The Little Hen was. From the very beginning, Chef Alan’s communication was seamless and thoughtful, and he and his team delivered truly exceptional service. The food was outstanding from start to finish, the vibe was immaculate, and it was the birthday dinner I’ve always dreamed of.

A wonderful dinner for my wife and I. It is a lovely small restaurant with the kitchen right near the dining area. The courses came out at a pace that made for a very enjoyable dinner. We were able to enjoy each course and some time for the two of us before the next came out. We had vichyssoise with scallops, sautéed radish, mushroom toast, the duck, and steak. For dessert we had the crepe cake. All were phenomenal and loaded with flavor, and the duck and steak were cooked a perfect medium rare. This restaurant is a gem.

We hosted a birthday dinner at The Little Hen this past weekend and it was INCREDIBLE! From the food, to the service, to the vibes – Alan and his team took care of every detail and made the night perfect. The mushroom toast, duck, roasted carrots, crème brûlée – all so terrific, delicious, & flavorful! 10000/10 would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to host an event or just go for a meal. Attended a small wedding celebration here. The restaurant was the perfect size for our group and the food was phenomenal. Everybody was so happy with the meal and it was definitely the best wedding meal I’ve ever had!! The staff and chef were awesome and everything was great. Super delicious

The food was very flavorful, but it was almost cold. I found it so odd since the place is small and seems as though the food would be served the moment it’s plated, but both the duck and pork were almost cold, I’m not exaggerating. I also understand that since the duck and pork were cooked to maybe a medium temp, and then sliced to be plated, it’s not going to be steaming hot, but still should have been warmer than it was. The service was good – the girl that served us was very nice and appropriately attentive. And the restaurant is cute and cozy.

My partner and I did a double date here for dinner. First impressions is the restaurant is small, but very cute. The location is great – downtown Haddonfield. Small means very limited seating and the vibe is business casual with BYOB, but elegant dining experience you’d wanna take you’re time with. That being said – come with patience. When we sat, the server was very polite and opened our bottles and got ice. We took our time trying to limit what we are going to order – and failed. However, everything was exceptional. I’ve never had frog legs before and I’m not sure I can eat them anywhere else. Run here – don’t walk because you won’t want to miss this place.

This local gem of a restaurant is just perfect. My wife and I had a romantic dinner with that boutique restaurant feel that is usually reserved for big cities. The service was outstanding, the food exceptional and the warmth of my Parisian mother’s kitchen. We cannot wait to return.
