The Little Grill has been a staple in Harrisonburg since 1940. Former owners Ron and Melaine Copeland (1992-2003) purchased the restaurant again on January 1, 2023. Currently, they are offering breakfast and lunch M-F and brunch on the weekends, as well as Mexi Night every Tuesday and Breakfast Night on Thursdays. The Little Grill is a one-of-a-kind restaurant featuring delicious homemade food and locally roasted coffee. Vegetarian, vegan, and meat-filled options! All in an eclectic and welcoming atmosphere.

What a fantastic spot! Great GF options, creative and wonderful. Their menu offers Vegan and Gluten-Free options as an equal rather than an after thought. The food was wonderful. We had some options from the menu and some specials. Coffee was delicious. No complaints at all.
Service was excellent. Prompt, friendly, informed, and skilled. We have to wait a little before being seated but that was expected as it was a popular place for brunch on a holiday weekend. Wait was as expected but I was very happy to see that they have an app to help you “get on the list” but that app wasn’t necessary. The one negative was that it was pretty loud. We could still talk easily but the sound pressure was a bit much. Again it is a popular spot on a popular day, volume was expected and the were signs they they knew about this problem and are taking steps to try and improve it.
We found this restaurant via the “Find Me GF” app. We double checked the info here in Google and checked the Instagram for holiday hours.

Their new dinner service is beyond phenomenal! I was able to secure a reservation last Friday (during their opening week) and despite it being only their second night of this service, I genuinely had no notes. The menu offered such eclectic dishes, most of which are meant to be shared! Between two people, we ordered a salad, the poutine, two entrees, a side of broccolini, and two crème brûlées! Everything was delicious and there wasn’t a single bite left! If you are thinking of going and giving the new dinner service a shot, my advice would be to go as soon as possible!

I love this place. The interior is so cute, and everything about it feels organic and homey! The corned beef hash was delicious, but my favorite thing here is the breakfast grinder with the mushrooms! The cinnamon pancake was good- distinctly creamy-cheesy, but it was yummy. Definitley check out their website, the place is pretty small and there will be a wait on weekends, which you can get in line for online (super convenient!)

The Little Grill is A-MAZING!!!! Such a cute little place with a charming eclectic decor. Service was superb and the food…. O M G!! My husband had the huevos rancheros which he said was delicious! I had The Dooley which is eggs, biscuits and a potato cake smothered in “groovy gravy”. The biscuits were some of the best I have ever had and the gravy was out of this world – groovy indeed!!!!! I want to take a vat of it back to Ohio with me!!!

Took my daughter to The Little Grill for lunch and I can’t wait to come back. The chai lattes we had were absolutely delicious and the food was awesome too. What a cute little place. And the people working there were friendly and seemed to be loving their job and enjoying each other, and you don’t see that everywhere. Hands down 5 stars.

The place was very busy but we still got a table and it was soooo worth it. My coffee and pancakes were really good. His strawberry rhubarb special pancake was amazing. The only thing better was my sausage patty and his biscuits and sausage gravy. Highly recommend and will be back soon!

My wife and I just dined with The Little Grill for their grand re-opening of dinner service and had an outstanding experience. The menu had a variety of offerings at reasonable prices and all of our food was well executed. The ambience was warm and intimate with great music in the background. Service was attentive and polite. A great new dinner option in Harrisonburg!

What a cute little place! We were visiting for the weekend and the hotel suggested this spot. My boys got a kick out of the special heart shaped pancakes and fun designs in their hot chocolate. If we find ourselves in that area again we’ll definitely return <3

Yes, this IS worth the stop. We had the orange cardamom pancake (December special), potato boat, and the Dooley. That pancake was A.MAZ.ING. Oh my goodness. Biscuits were really good. I love their use of mushrooms. Flavorful and didn’t feel like it was just slapped in the dish as a “meat” substitute. They held their own as part of the dishes. I enjoyed the potato boat. I was afraid that the Cajun spices would be overpowering but it really wasn’t. The latte and cappuccino were so good we decided to buy a bag of their coffee. Overall, we had a great meal with great service. If we’re passing through the area again, we WILL be stopping here again.
