Chris anticipated our needs without ever being intrusive, which elevated the entire experience. The food was outstanding, as expected, but the level of service truly made the night memorable. If you’re dining at this location, ask for Chris Brown—you won’t be disappointed. We will absolutely be back!
My turn to host and I chose this location. It was the first “chain” we’ve hit. I am a Capital Grille loyalist have been to many locations across the country. They vary based on location/management and this is one of the best.
Organizing was a bit choppy at first until the events person put me in direct contact with the the Managing Partner, Heather, and the Executive Chef, Nick. It was smooth sailing from here.
I worked directly with Chef Nick on creating the experience. He priced everything out for me and helped us create a custom menu for the evening. Nick was attentive to detail and stayed in constant communication with me. He and his staff accommodated multiple allergy requests within the group without fail. He even came in on his night off to help execute the dinner!
Event night: we arrived to our private reserved table in front of the kitchen, to a beautiful set up and custom menu’s printed for the group. There was a large wait staff allocated to our table. Timing and flow of the entire evening was perfect. Steaks were served family style. Presentation and food quality were above and beyond. Everything was perfect, start to finish. Special thanks to Chef Nick and team for custom ordering A5 Wagyu for everyone. This was the star of the dinner.

The calamari was overcooked, sparse, and loaded with an unbalanced amount of peppers. When I asked for it to be redone, she was outwardly pleasant but visibly resistant inwardly. The replacement was underwhelming—less than adequate for $22—lacking proper presentation, lemon squeeze, and seasoning. It felt more like she was counting pennies than serving with warmth.
Then there was the steak. I ordered a 14-ounce bone-in strip that turned out to be more like 8 ounces of beef with 6 ounces of bone. They sold me a supposedly 14-ounce steak? At $38, if it truly weighed that much, it’s an outright ripoff. The steak lacked flavor and was far from the quality I’ve come to expect here. The entire experience was tense, rushed, and more about efficiency than enjoyment.
To make things worse, I was pressured to pay extra for basic accompaniments like béarnaise sauce. The atmosphere was cold, uninviting, and left me feeling hungry and disappointed—especially on my birthday.
This experience is a cautionary tale: Don’t be fooled by the brand or the price. The service standards here are inconsistent, and it’s clear that some staff, including the management, are more interested in squeezing every dollar than providing real hospitality. If you value genuine service and a welcoming atmosphere, consider supporting independent restaurants where you’re not just another number.
Heather Houston, the managing partner, should seriously address these issues—until then, I can’t recommend this place. I won’t be returning anytime soon.
The food was absolutely delicious. The steaks were perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Every detail, from the presentation to the wine recommendations, was top-notch.
