We were in town hiking and happened to stop when we saw smoke from a bbq. Great Idea! The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, and the food is delicious (if you’ve never had Pork Candy, you don’t know what you’re missing)! The ambiance is charming and delightful. We will definitely stop in again on our next trip.

Great local food made by great local people. Great tasting BBQ and sides. They have some of the best catfish I’ve ever eaten. Try the BBQ nachos or their huge loaded baked potatoes with your chiice of meats. Small building, but amazing how much room there is inside. Everyone should check them out if they haven’t.

Awesome little barbecue joint. Has lots of bar seating as well as some tables. I couldn’t pass up their loaded baked potato, it was very good. I got the hot barbecue sauce, and it’s really sweet. If I had any suggestions for this place it would be to have a sauce option that’s a bit less sweet. Other than that minor nit, I enjoyed everything. The place is clean, people nice, and food is good.

Great food, and atmosphere! Not a very big fan of their mashed potatoes, seem to be instant. Also their meat could use a little more smoke, but otherwise easy entrance and exit. It could also use a remodel. Would come again when we are in the area.

Paid almost $9 for a turkey and dressing plate that had at most 2-3 tablespoons of food. Gave a $3 tip as requested. Got home saw the joke at that price and asked to exchange. Owner said fine, I selected sandwich plate and after 15 minutes I received. HE ASKED FOR $2.19 DIFFERENCE!!! Forget my lunch, 40 minutes of wait, 2 trips at these gas prices and what turned out to be terrible BBQ. No flavor but ok if quantity was good “IT WASN’T”. Nope you get more meat off a frozen fritter at the grocery store…

This place is literally falling apart out side the steps and walk way are falling apart the bathroom door doesn’t close all the way. Ok the food bbq plate and smoked chicken plate well I will start with the pulled pork was very watery like it was frozen at one time meat very bland not enough smoke ok the chicken plate was just like some boiled chicken pulled apart with a fork no smoke at all and the chicken was watery also for to plates and a tea $29.05 which would have been fine with me if it was any good. GOOD LUCK IF YOU GO THERE.
