Nice little bar and restaurant in downtown Vacaville that was a library. They have a full bar and also mocktails, and a full kitchen with pizzas, bruschetta, and other things. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and an elevator located at the side. They have a cool downstairs area too. I like their hot honey pepperoni pizza. Pretty cool place to hangout. They have street parking surrounding and parking lots.

The pizza was delicious! There was practically no service. We sat ourselves at an awkwardly-placed table. We had to borrow a table next to us, so we could all fit. We had to go up to the bar to request food and drinks, including water. And when the food was brought out, they didn’t even say a word. They only checked on us briefly at the end; they probably wanted us to free up the table. We had some good laughs with the card game, “I Should Have Known That!”

Live music, food looked good but no meatless, or Salad opt. they were out or not serving that visit. I’ll try them again because the band was good. Fast Bartender service if you walked up to the bar.

This bar is such a great vibe!
The outside is lovely, the interior offers a blast into the past, a real library, with books on the shelves.
The bar is elegant and not overstated, the seating is comfortable.
We were there on a Saturday night, where a fantastic jazz quartet entertained us with four sets of foot tapping live jazz.
The bartenders were friendly and helpful. Our old fashioners were the best I’ve had in years!

I’ve been here a few times now and the experiences have been generally favorable. Some time had passed since my last visit but just the other day decided to bring a friend for the first time and I’m glad I did. Their cocktail menu has expanded and so has the food. I’ve had their pizza, salads and specials in the past, all good. Their smoky old fashioned was on point! Besides the atmosphere being amazing for a bookish patron, the staff really knocked it out of the park with their service and friendliness. I hope this is something I can count on going forward.

Was really hoping to support a local business but this was just not right. Had a date night with my wife and their online menu looked good so we went. The atmosphere is strange. You order drinks and food at a register at the bar then get a number for your table. There was no table service.

The menu they offered there was not the one online. It had only about 10 items. No steak. We decided just to have a drink and find somewhere else after seeing a large table with order numbers on it and we saw no food come after the 45 mins we were there. They looked hunger.

We sat at the bar and the bartender told us right away “we are out of a lot but what can I get you”. My wife’s only drink is a dirty martini…which is on the menu. She said they are out of that because they have no olive juice. NO OLIVE JUICE? Someone couldn’t run to the store and get some? No. That is when we realized the quality has gone downhill since being their probably about 3 years ago.

To top it off, when we asked for the check. The bartender seemed confused which check was ours, there were 5 people total at the bar and 3 bartenders not doing much so I was perplexed why he couldn’t figure it out. We have them a CC when we ordered….the bartender just said…”you are good”. I had to ask for a bill/receipt. He gave me the bill and it already ran with no option to tip. Never had that happen at at bar.

Just stopped by for drinks. I love libraries and this old Carnegie still has good bones even though now a cocktail hangout. They were busy so took a bit to get my mixed cocktail after ordering. We sat down and were given a number to place on table for when drink order was delivered.
Just needs a few cozy solo spaces and that would make it even more delightful.

I meandered my way to this cool little spot (I had a gig next door at the Journey Downtown Theater). I had some pizza and 2 great drinks. Everything was so good and the staff was amazing. As a true book reader, I loved the touch of actual physical books all over the venue. I will be back very soon!

The food was limited and over cooked. We got the tritip salad and the meat was so over cooked it felt like dog food. The margarita pizza was burnt. The only saving grace was the atmosphere which was quickly ruined by comedy night having its speakers way too loud. So loud that we couldn’t hear each other speak much less understand what the person was trying to say. Would not recommend for a date night, would recommend for an evening with someone you don’t actually like.
