Welcome to the Sayville, NY neighborhood Cenote (pronounced seh-no-teh) . Happy to have you! After over a decade as Bistro 25 owner Michael Turner has completed Renovated this building. It has a modern, sophisticated, simple vibe. Love the mural, art work, vibrant splash of colors and beautiful flooring. Every inch of this restaurant is clean and immaculate.

This was a very pleasant surprise. Went someplace else, but the wait time was too high. So we happened upon this place. Amazing atmosphere and great food, can’t wait to try it again.

The restaurant was busy and almost every table was occupied. We waited a bit at the host stand before being seated, although we were acknowledged twice. The table was near the center of the room. There are 3 areas where you could be seated. One side of the table had chairs and the other was a dark blue velvet couch (which made me feel short). We were given a bowl of tortilla chips and homemade salsa (and not your typical red salsa). Our waitress, Blanca came by to take our drink order and asked us to be patient. The Albariño is one of the best I’ve ever tasted and I was in Spain where they are readily available. We were told that the reservations weren’t staggered enough. I’ll add it was a Saturday night, LI restaurant week & a fairly new place that opened in September. I’m not sure if they were shortstaffed like many places nowadays, but the staff was “moving.” Usually, during LI restaurant week it’s not always a leisurely dinner, but we were there almost 3 hours. Chicken tortilla soup had a little kick to it which I enjoyed, and the mushroom flautas were amazing. We were also given a courtesy side of black beans and yellow rice. I was looking forward to fried ice cream which was not available, but got the churros to go. To my surprise, out comes fried ice cream which was delicious. Our waitress was very nice and thanked us for being patient. We would definitely go back.

Delicious food. Friendly staff. Kids are welcome and well accommodated. Interior is new. Clean sleek look. Our dinner was delayed slightly so they bought us a glass of wine. We will be back.

Delicious food. This was the ole Bistro 25. It’s a beautiful, modern Mexican restaurant now and the food is exquisite. It is both tastefully prepared and tastefully presented. The margaritas were to die for and affordable. Chips were thick and crunchy. Plantains were like candy. The bartender was a pleasure! Go now and Tell ’em Barsnobs sent ya!

Theo and I had a lovely evening at Cenote yesterday. A warm welcome awaited us from the new manager, and we sat at the bar to enjoy Marty’s delicious cocktails. Marty didn’t and doesn’t disappoint us by supplying super cocktails that made me cross-eyed and wobbly. He made a sour cosmopolitan for Theo, which was delicious, done by switching from sweet Roses Lime to fresh lime juice.

Honestly this place is so awesome. The drinks are on point and the food is delicious. The manager and staff is so nice and super accommodating. Great atmosphere. Our favorites are the coconut margarita and the spicy margarita, the nachos and shrimp appetizer, and the short rib tacos and beef enchiladas. Also their happy hour is a great deal during the week. Love this place!

This restaurant recently closed. It came up when I did a quick search for a local restaurant while running errands. It had excellent reviews so I placed an order online through Toast, which accepted the order. I drove straight to the restaurant to find a realtor sign in the window. My payment is pending (Apple wallet). No easy task to delete /stop the payment. While I was in the lot trying to delete the payment someone else went up to the doors to find it locked. I believe the closing was sudden and unexpected. I’m posting to help prevent anyone else in the same position from placing an order.
