We have driven by this place so many times… either it wasn’t open, or it just was not a good time to stop. So this trip it worked out and we stopped for a late breakfast. First off the place is a cool, throwback cafe with old memorabilia. No credit cards, cash only. The food was great, large yummy portions, and the menu has a good variety to choose from. All of this would be a 4-5 starts for me normally. However, the service was a negative. There were only a couple other customers in the place and the waitress was very irritated by something. Not welcoming at all.
We asked for a very simple substitution on the menu and we were rudely told no substitutions. That is totally fine, but rudeness is not. This could have become a regular stop for us as we drive by pretty frequently…. but I do not think we will stop again.

Very cozy rural, roadside diner. The food is simple but really good. I ordered a tuna melt and rhubarb pie for dessert. Carla, the owner, is super friendly, as were the other patrons. The tables featuring cool rocks are a nice touch. This place makes you feel comfortable and satisfied

Quaint little family style cafe on the way to Leavenworth. Everything is fresh and homemade, great soups and homemade pies. The pie and hot chocolate with whipped cream were super fresh and not too sweet, just perfect. Even the whipped cream seems like it was whipped fresh. My husband and his family said one of the best burgers they had. They have a porta potty for travelers and a proper bathroom (by key) for anyone who stops to eat. Definitely a nice little find!!

Pie a la mode is the way too go. The icecream cut the tartness of the pie the crust was buttery and flakey.

This place is a hidden gem. Amazing service. Fresh food that was all handmade. I mean the cheeseburger was perfect. The bun was grilled, perfectly cooked bacon and well proportioned condiments. Plus, the handcut fries were perfectly crispy. They even had places for their regulars to store their mugs! I can’t wait to stop here again.

Super quaint little restaurant. Lovely staff and love that the regulars have their own coffee mugs on the shelf

Horrible service. Lady showed attitude right from the time we walked in. Trying to over charge and bad service. Treating paying customers to not use restroom stating its for sit down customers is blatant rudeness.

After driving by for probably 15 years I finally stopped there. My son and I both got a mushroom burger what’s the home cut fries. We got it to go very quick and friendly. The atmosphere was awesome. There was obviously some regular sitting at the counter with their own mugs. There’s an area for their personal cups for the regulars. Very charming felt like you’re at home. We will definitely be going back.
