The Leonardtown Grille is kind enough each year to allow the Academy of Finance students to learn etiquette in their private room in the morning. I always order the chicken fingers. Etiquette is still possible with chicken fingers! If you love chicken fingers, this place has an excellent recipe, and the chicken is always perfectly cooked.

We stop in here from time to time and haven’t been disappointed yet. Service is friendly and balanced between not enough and to many table visits. The menu is good, the food is very good. We’ve always sat in the booth / table area, I haven’t sat in the bar area as of yet. Always available seating, quiet. clean, and the restrooms are kept clean. Moderately busy – there are a number of unique eateries in this small town.

Went today with my 90 year old father and my wife. We ordered breakfasts. It took a while to get the food and it was not very good. I asked for cheese with my eggs and I didn’t receive them. The waitress was kind enough to take them off the ticket. Dad’s meal was cold. The kicker was we all had scrapple with our meals which was overcooked and all three of us got sick. This place used to be great. Not so much anymore.

We ordered the Grill Sampler to start. Has 4 of the best appetizers on it. Very good. Chicken tenders were juicy. Fried Shrimp lightly breaded. Mozzarella sticks are always a great choice. The sample of ribs makes me want to order the whole rack.
We both got burgers. Each were prepared as we ordered. Medium. Medium well. The cook knows how to prepare food for taste & appearance.
We will return. I would recommend this place 100%. Good food. Good service. Good price.

Our waiter- Michael- was the nicest best waiter. He said he was only there for a month but you would never know it. Great happy personality and wonderful multitasking skills!

The Leonardtown grille is a nice restaurant with a variety of foods from breakfast to lunch to dinner and dessert. They have a bar so you can sit at the bar and have a drink.
They do have a meeting room so if you have a large group you can use that I believe you do need to reserve it though.
One issue I do have with them is when they know they’re going to have a large group coming in, it appears as if they make no attempt to bring on extra waiters to help out with the group & it ends up taking forever to order your drinks, food or get your bill. I believe it really puts a burden on their wait staff.
Once you place your order it takes forever to get it. I don’t know if the kitchen is to small or they don’t have enough cooks.
It makes it bad because their food is very good, with the exception of their onion rings that are overcooked and hard to even bite into.
I really hope they get their selves some more staff, so that their business can improve.

Admittedly I didn’t like it when I first tried it some months ago. I gave them a second try and it was worth it! The food was good. Hush puppies weren’t burnt-tasting like the last time. The chicken sandwich I had was cooked perfectly and didn’t have any of that grissel you sometimes get. Maybe the first time I got them on a bad day which happens.

My husband’s nice boss treated the crew to a Christmas lunch at The Leonardtown Grille and he came home raving about how good it was. He was right. We’ve been regulars ever since.
The prices may seem a bit steep but the quality and taste make it worth the price. The staff is always friendly and kind. I hope they never change!

Don’t usually Write bad reviews or any at all but honestly 1 Star is too much!
I ordered crab dip and a bacon cheeseburger 45min pass by so I tell the waitress I want my check for my beer and tea, magically my burger appears 2min later burger cold fries cold and still have no crab dip after reminding the waitress I have no crab dip. Yes the restaurant is busy but it’s not completely packed with people waiting to sit down. The staff is completely disorganized. I definitely will not come back to this restaurant and still no crab dip…
