I loved this place. I would go twice or even three times a week and order the same thing, a small smores flurry with no chocolate chips because they would always add WAY too much. It was never consistent but that was okay for me, they were really nice and quick.
But after this last experience I was done. When she handed me what I ordered it had two large chunks of ice cream hanging off the side and it was dripping everywhere. She asked me if I needed napkins, which in the end I never got. My total was $13 so I gave a $50, it was all I had. I waited an extra 5 minutes for my change, which is not why I’m complaining, but it could’ve been faster. My destination was the apartment complex like a minute away, but when I got there my cup holders were FILLED with ice cream. To think that they would think it’s okay to hand this stuff to a customer. I support small businesses with a passion, I love them. Especially with how things are going right now, but this was horrible. I expect better. Please start thinking about the customers and doing better.

Awesome old-school kinda place! Simple and small (only four tables outoors, but most people stay in their cars, after all, it is a drive-in!). Fast, efficient and friendly service, and D E L I C I O U S AND WELL-SERVED burgers!

We ordered 5 cgeeseburgers, took them hime and they were all raw in the center. We had tp cook them ourselves. For the price we paid, you would think the qualityof food would have been better. Will definitely not be revisiting

The service was outstanding. We were in town from Chicago. We were there only for ice cream and we decided we wanted some cheese curds. The fryers were off but they still got our order. They were amazing. Sadly we were leaving Wednesday and we planned on eating there. But it’s closed on Wednesdays. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

So glad the Lena Drive-Inn has reopened. The Pizza Burgers are fantastic. Our server was a very nice young man, very clean cut and courteous. He even remembered that we said we might order ice-cream after we were done with our meal. He must have been watching his customers and came up to us at the perfect time. I’m glad the legend lives on. What a great family fun place to eat at!

This place is classic. Small town drive in, young kids earning money on summer break and low prices on great simpler time foods and soft-serve. If you haven’t been here yet, you need to go. Tell your friends and neighbours. Don’t let places like this one die to the big nothing burger places. And summer will be done before you know it and you will have to wait til next year.

We drove an hour from Dubuque to go here and I really enjoyed it! There will be no mistaking this food for a 5 star culinary experience… It’s not. That isn’t what this place is for. It’s best at reminding us what drive ins were like when we were kids and for that it has NO EQUAL! The food is good the service is great the staff is fun. I do not know of another place like it. I WILL come back…. Several times… I know it.
