You Need To Know? Restaurant reviews
You Need To Know? Arrived on the Friday after Thanksgiving. We were seated immediately. We were told they do not have a full dinner menu, only the bar menu at this time. We ordered a burger , cheesesteak, & a turkey BLT club. I was hopeful being it was the day after Thanksgiving that the turkey would be from a real turkey breast & not deli meat. It was cold deli meat on warm toast. Average at best was the words used to describe the meals. Now You Know! -TBH

The lobster? Amazing. The steak? Perfect. The whole meal? Scrumdiddly-dumptuous. Plus, the atmosphere was immaculate warm, cozy, and exactly what we wanted. Definitely worth a visit!!

What happened to this place. Second time trying this place since new owners took over. First time( on a Friday ) tried to order food but the menu the bartender gave me wasn’t available? So she handed me the Bar menu, tried to order and low and behold 3/4’s of that menu wasn’t available. Second time I walked in on a Wednesday ( wing night) and tried to order, bartender said Kitchen was closed ( 9:30). I turned around and started walking out but the owner chased me down and said they had the bar menu available. Well i walked back in because I love supporting local joints. Unfortunately i could hear the bartender arguing with the owner that most of the menu wasn’t available because the cook had shut most of the kitchen down. I ended up ordering wings, they weren’t bad , but i felt like i was hassling the staff. What Dukey’s once was isn’t what it is now. Staff wasn’t friendly or accommodating, ownership, although brought me back in, wasn’t much better than the staff. I hope they see this and turn thing around, the place is a cool place, but judging by the lack of patrons both time I’m not sure that’s going to happen.

My wife and I went for dinner yesterday before the hockey game. It was phenomenal! The baked French onion soup was the best we have ever had! My wife got the fish and chips and it was so fresh and delicious. I got the Rachel but switched out the rye toast for white. Order came out like asked and it was delicious as well. The owner PJ came over and introduced himself, very friendly guy. He was also taking orders and delivering food/drinks. We will definitely be coming back.

Everything was very good. The martinins, lobster & steaks were fantastic!! Our server Sunnie was wonderful. As well as PJ who was very attentive making his rounds to all the
customers. Our first time dining experience was wonderful & will definitely recommend..

This was our first time here with the new name and new owners. We were a party of 7 and ordered basic menu items. Appetizers were brought out with the meal and some were missed. One was even brought out after the meal was served. My friend ordered a smash burger with nothing. No bun, no lettuce, no tomato, no onion, no cheese with mashed potatoes on the side. Her meal came out with lettuce and tomatoes and french fries. She found a long hair in her food and told the waitress about it. They left it there in front of her and did not take the dish for at least 20 minutes. The crab stuffed portobello mushroom was served as a cold crab cake on top of a dark burned mushroom. The chicken on the chicken Caesar salad was gummy. Drinks were not filled until another waitress room over. It was relayed to us that we had a new waitress and to bear with her. However, it was apparent that she really didnt know what she was doing and really didn’t care that our orders were messed up among other things. The owner or manager came to the table several times to explain some food items on the menu and to explain why the food was coming out at all different times. He was arrogant and expected us to just understand and go with the flow. Its a shame because we would of really spread the word about this place. The atmosphere is casual and the place was clean. The only compliment was that the wings were good.

The place has gone downhill with new owners. The menu is not the same. I used to enjoy going here. A few weeks ago I ordered the lobster, it tasted bad. They made me a new one. That has never happened in the past. No more bread with dinner among other things. The new owner apologized and sat and talked with us, however I can see the place has changed for the worst and probably not going back.

What a cool place. If you’re in the area looking for a quick bite look no further. Not often a bar feels like home. Even 200 miles from where you live. Staff and the owner were friendly and attentive, the wings were excellent.

Decided to do a pregame inspection, and wanted to check out the drinks! The drinks are typically $2 or more dollars cheaper than what I’d expect to pay at a bar, but the portion of the beverage was incredible and the long island iced T is the truth! Perfectly executed, strong but not too sour! Very impressive bar tending! I’ll be back tomorrow for the Bird’s game! Good sports crowd and great food make this a must try in Wilkes Barre! Go Bird’s
