This might be some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever tasted! Every bite was bursting with flavor. I had the chicken chimichanga with green rice, topped with a green sauce that was absolutely incredible. The dishes were fresh, perfectly seasoned, and satisfying. It’s a fantastic spot to grab a meal, whether you’re heading out on or returning from the Leadville train ride. I’ll definitely be coming back!

My wife and I had breakfast on a Friday morning. The service and the food were both excellent. The hash browns in my Biscuits and Gravy plate were some of the best prepared hash browns I’ve had in years.

My wife had the Smothered Burrito without the flour tortilla.

We don’t usually eat dessert with breakfast but we had to try the Banana Crema De Cielo, which is a sopapilla filled with banana pudding and real bananas. It’s a special creation by the owner and it was amazing.

Next time we’re in Leadville we plan to add this place to our lunch or dinner plans.

One of the unrealized benefits of going here instead of one of the downtown restaurants is that there is dedicated parking.

Breakfast was wonderful! I had a breakfast burrito smothered in hot green chili (I asked them to leave out the tortilla and just pile it on the plate). It was fabulous and a lot of food. (I should have included something in the photo to give a better idea of size) Also had the Banana Cream of Heaven dessert (Banana Crema de Cielo) to go and it was sooooo yummy! Couldn’t stop eating it.

Just had the best Tex-Mex in Leadville! Our waitress, Sarah, took great care of us and made some spot-on recommendations. Everything is made from scratch, we especially loved the chili relleno, tamales, and the crispy tamale. The chips and salsa were fresh, and the beef tacos were absolutely delicious. Didn’t save room for the banana cream sopapilla this time… but we’ll definitely be back!

Super love this place! This is my family’s favorite restaurant and we stopped by for my daughter’s 3rd birthday, our waiter Johnny was kind enough to bring us a sopapilla with a candle it it and sang happy birthday to her! Hands down best sopapilla we have ever had! Great food and great service! Just about every time we go in we are greeted by the owner and long time server Matt.

We went for pickup over Labor Day weekend, and the place was packed—definitely a popular spot! It’s tucked away from the town center, but parking was available, which made it convenient.

We tried the Carne Asada tacos (3 tacos) and Pollo a la Crema (2 tacos). Everything was delicious and flavorful. The real star, though, was the chips and salsa—the freshest, most vibrant salsa I’ve had outside of a home-made version.

Since it was a busy night, our order took quite a while to arrive, but the wait was worth . I’ll definitely come back to try more dishes next time I’m in the area.

One of my favorite Mexican joints in the entire nation and not even exaggerating. Their chili verde is the best you’ll find. The crispy tamales with chili verde are . Owner is awesome and wait staff literally dotes over you. Great restaurant

This place is fantastic, from the atmosphere to the food. Diane welcomed us in and was so kind and personable she really sold us on coming back. My fiance had the Mexican burger, I had Barilla stuffed sopapilla; but we could have shared it was so much food! What sold us was how welcomed we felt and how good the service was. We can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. ♡

We stopped in to try the great food we’d heard so much about. We are from the Denver area and had been to Adriana’s in Franktown many times. It’s our favorite!
We had heard Mike, Adriana’s husband, open a restaurant in Leadville and we heard the interesting story about a bar that had once been in a saloon on Main St in 1870’s era Leadville.
The food is amazing, as expected. Mike mentioned that many recipes had to be reconfigured for this altitude. He also has addedsome N Mexico favorites and other deviations from Adriana’s other restaurant.
For desert we had the “queso tacos” made with birria meat and a green avocado salsa. It was amazing. Prior to that I had carne asada tacos and my wife had the “de tinga” chicken tacos we are familiar with. They did not disappoint.
We left very full.
If you like Mexican food with a Mexican, Texican and some N Mexican influence check this place out.
Mike Spillman, the owner, is very hospitable and will talk shop about recipes and great BBQ places to eat in Texas, where he is originally from. Sara was our waitress. She couldn’t have been nicer.
