First time visit to Pierre and we accidentally found this place sightseeing. We popped in and sat on the restaurant side of the building. We got personal service from Scott, the manager! He was excellent—very personable, knowledgeable, and made our experience fun. The appetizer was slightly spicy but delicious! The sliders were yummy, the mashed potatoes (with skins) were flavorful and hot, and the liver and onions prepared perfectly!! Definitely recommend if you are in the area!

I had the chicken fried steak sandwich with country gravy on the side to dip it. I thought my sandwich and the fries that came with it were delicious.
My friend had a baked potato and steamed broccoli. She said the baked potato was good but the broccoli wasn’t quite cooked enough to her taste.
it was a bit of a wait to get our food as there was one bartender on duty.

Good food the service was fantastic. They have pool tournaments, we went around closing time, so there wasn’t a lot of people there. The waiter was wanting to please and very friendly. It’s an old establishment, but kept up very well. A great place for locals also. We’ll definitely be back again. Prices were very reasonable.

My sister’s wake service at the nearby funeral home ended at 8pm on a Friday night and we flooded them with 30+ people. The staff was sooo accepting, friendly, and the service was excellent and food and drinks outstanding.
We were all able to talk, hug, and drink to sister’s memory. This place will always have a special place in my heart.

We walked here after a painful day from a prayer service down the street for a family member. Without a reservation we flooded the place at 8pm with about 30 people into the restaurant. The male server we had was extremely calm, friendly, attentive, and accomplished everything in a timely manner. The food and drinks were amazing. This could have been so stressful on the staff and we cannot express our thankfulness in your kind service toward us. It really put a good ending to a hard day. Thank you!

I was so disappointed with our experience here. We walked in and sat down and was then completely ignored for over 20 mins. were not busy. With multiple staff members looking and even making eye contact with us. They were not busy. There were two other tables and a couple of people at the bar. I’m fairly certain another waitress went and got our waitress for us. When we finally got service there was absolutely no apology for ignoring us, and once we got our food the only time we saw our waitress again was when we were ready for the check. It’s so much fun being ignored. The food was decent. We got the Cowboy Corn Bites and an Indian Taco.

I don’t like leaving reviews like this, I am not a Karen but, We went here for karoke and the DJ repeatedly puts him self on over and over again. We got to sing once or twice he puts himself on for his own songs multiple times in a row and tonight he kept taking breaks. I get sometimes this happens but he has done this every week we go here it’s ridiculous!

We headed to Pierre to go to the Capitol to see the Christmas Trees. They were gorgeous! We asked at the gas station for a recommendation for a drink & meal. So glad she recommended The Longbranch. Our waitress was kind & friendly. It was a Tuesday afternoon, but we could imagine a crowded Saturday night with a band in this grand bar. Food was excellent. We hope to be back.

Food was mediocre at best, service was attentive but lacking. Could hardly hear the waiter standing 10ft from the table. Ketchup was clearly watered down, quesadilla burnt then cook peeled off the black. Ate here last year and it was much better, not sure what happened

Waited over an hour in a place that wasn’t even busy. Our wings arrived, obviously they sat in the window for awhile due to the sauce dry. Tables were walking out next to us, another table didn’t even get a customers order. I took the situation to the owner to explain my concerns. All I got was attitude and she stormed off. Never in my life have I experienced a bar struggling to stay afloat. So instead of some food here, I guess we are grabbing Burger King. Don’t recommend this place to anyone honestly with how horribly management attempted to cover their mess up with attitude and storming off in a huff. If they were actually busy I’d understand, but they weren’t.
