First, it’s upsetting when a business falsely advertises an atmosphere. Outdoor seating was closed. Very misleading, feels like deception considering there’s no reason why someone can’t walk an additional 20 feet outside. The patio was clearly decorated with brightly colored umbrellas and pop-up signage on the sidewalk to attract people yet, you’re not allowed to sit outside. The food however, I can only speak to the burger I ordered. Not very good. Tasted like it was baked and leftover dirty oil. Compared to burgers at green truck, which are phenomenal. This burger was not great. I’m perfectly fine eating OK burger, this was well below that. I was sitting at my desk all of a sudden. If it wasn’t for the bait and switch, this probably is a pretty cool place.

My husband and I live down the street from this restaurant. We went on a Sunday morning. Good crowd when we got there but were seated in about 10 mins. It appears they have a side window for take out. There are tables outside as well. Our server was friendly. We ordered the shrimp and grits and the patty melt. My husband loved the shrimp and grits. He said the shrimp was delicious. My patty melt was good. The meat was flavorful and the sauce and cheese on the sandwich was gooey and tasty. The bread was toasted but not done enough. The fries are ok. Shoestring fries which were cold half way through the meal. I should have ordered a side of onion rings. I got the fancy hot chocolate which is just hot chocolate with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. The hot chocolate is made with water. Overall, it was a great little place to go on a quiet Sunday morning. We will be back.

This is the third time here. The food and the experience is superb. I love sitting at the cooking bar downstairs and connecting to the chefs and amazing staff. We ordered a falafel Waffle and salmon smash and added egg on top. So good.

Dining with Dirk: Sunday Edition at The Laundry Diner
The Laundry Diner was buzzing with energy this Sunday morning — the kind of lively hum that tells you you’re in for something good. The open steel ceiling and industrial vibe sealed the deal: this was going to be an experience.
Gabriel was on his game, putting the serve in service by greeting me almost immediately and inviting me to sit wherever I liked. I bellied up to a spot at the bar, where two others also checked in on me — I didn’t catch their names, but I won’t forget their warm, welcoming vibe.
Alright, alright… on to the food.
I went with the Shorty Rib Hash Bowl and a side of cheese grits. The hash bowl? A total fan favorite — hearty, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Highly recommend. The cheese grits were spot-on too: creamy, with just the right amount of cheese, texture, and a little crunch. At about six bucks, some might call it steep for grits, but honestly, the entire experience — from the service to the atmosphere — was well worth it.
At 8:30 on a Sunday morning, The Laundry Diner delivered far more than I expected. I’ll definitely be back.

If I could give more stars for service I would. The young man taking care of our table was amazing. The music and atmosphere was so good. Hubby and I enjoyed this very much. He had the burrito and I have the short rib hash…. Both delicious. Definitely recommend. I ordered the cheesecake to go, it smelled good. Apple pie cheesecake.

We highly recommend, they also have an upstairs with a really cool vibe too.

The atmosphere of this place is amazing, love how they have set this diner up! The service wasn’t great, we had to ask for things like straws, sauces, etc around 5 or 6 times and the drinks didn’t really get refilled much either. The food was great, I got chicken and waffles with hash browns. I didn’t care for the hash browns but the chicken and waffles were great. I also got a chocolate milkshake and I believe it to be the best milkshake I’ve ever had. The prices are a bit steep, I will definitely visit again but at these prices, it will be a bit less.

Had a chance to sit down and enjoy brunch at the Laundry this Sunday. Due to it being Sunday morning we had to wait for some seats to open up, suffice to say, it was well worth the wait. The staff were professional and kind. I decided to get the catfish po-boy and not only was it delicious, but it was very fairly priced for the portion size. Next time I’m in Savannah I will be going back to the laundry diner to try out some of their other items. I look forward to trying some of their pastries as well as their drink menu as their drinks seemed very interesting.

Meh. Its like a traditional diner menu with a hipster twist. My party and I didnt enjoy it, for the most part. After switching plates around a few people found food they enjoyed.

All the great options that I or my party were interested in, they were out of. The kids menu was very lacking. 5 options with only 2 of them being dinner. Quesadilla or a patty melt. There was something off about the cheese on that patty melt. None of the kiddos were impressed. We also ordered one of the kiddos the meatballs. They were pork, and raw. It was intentional. Who is eating raw ground pork? Also, this was for a young kid. Who serves raw ground pork to kids? Overall, its not a bad restaurant, but not something we enjoyed. A lot of great potential but a huge miss for us.

It’s a nice revamped space—definitely for this part of Savannah. The food was alright, though it lacked some character. But the cherry chocolate chip milkshake was ! There’s always room for a sugar-high day .

A good place to hang out with friends over light food, and I enjoyed looking at some of the history pictures on the walls.

Very friendly service (thanks Katie). BLT was good but toast was almost too done on the outside. I like crispy bacon but it was almost too crispy. Fries (skinny) were warm but not hot and were cold by the time I was done. I think with some more time things can come together. The grill seemed to be a bit too hot (I ate at the bar) and saw a few things that were a bit dark from the grill (although could’ve been requested that way). There were happy hour specials upstairs but I avoid stairs and wasn’t sure there was an elevator. I will go back another time for another try. Great atmosphere (ok not the screaming kid behind me) – cute, quirky and sometime I’ll check out the 2nd floor.
