One of the best spots in Big Sky for an excellent meal with a great view. We had dinner there for a celebration and our servers Matias & Hayriss made it a wonderful and memorable experience.

The food and drinks were excellent and service was top notch. The price was what you should expect for a nice meal in this area and in my opinion definitely worth it. We would gladly come back in the future.

Food 10/10 – everything was excellent. Some portions are absolutely massive, so just ask before ordering (schnitzel and calzone)

Service & cocktails 3/10 – very slow drink service for a restaurant that was 30% full. Ordered a cocktail during appetizers that arrived with desert. Tried to cancel it but they still brought it out. Generally service was just average, didn’t live up to the quality of food, cost or being at the O&O

Went for dinner, but I’m sure the views during the day are fantastic

New years day 2026 we took the gondola over to One&Only resort for a proper 2hr lunch. The resort is stunning and the restaurant vibe was buzzing and while there were several available tables in the restaurant, there was a 30 minute wait list. We expected that because a) it’s new years day and b) it was 1pm. We considered sitting at the bar but were told they were not serving food. So we waiting. And waiting. And waited. But there are several areas to lounge around and shop.

Eventually we grabbed drinks at the bar and noticed people were eating food! Regardless the Campari Spritz was a winner. Almost an hour later we were seated and took in the stunning, panoramic views of Big Sky so it was definitely worth the wait (but next time we’ll stay at the resort since you get seated first, totally understand that).

The tables are adorned with creative gold flowers but you can get lost in the mountain views. Our server, Hannah, with her lovely English accent and striking green eyes made our experiece exceptional. She was friendly, helpful, and attentive with just the right amount of presence during our meal.

Let me first applaud Chef Matt for adding so many plant-forward options on the menu. As a registered dietitian nutritionist who’s mostly plant-based, I’m a huge fan of ordering a variety of veggie-based items because it feels nourishing AND I hope to recreate my favorite ones at home.

We started with the Hearth-roasted Cauliflower with Tahini and Medjool Dates plus a Squash and Coconut Soup. Chef’s kiss to the soup! My spouse and I both agreed that it was, hands down, the BEST soup we’ve ever had in all of our travels. The flavor profile is incredible and the portions are generous. My spouse ordered the Sweet Potato Gnocchi (gawd so deliciously decadent and again, generous portions). But the winner of the presentation definitely goes to the Glazed Squash with dinasaur kale, spiced cashew butter, chili glaze and heirloom grain! It has a creamy KICK that had me eating until I was stuffed. I was grateful to have a repeat performance at our house since there was no way I was going to let it go to waste.

What a treat to have Chef Matt and sous chef Emanuel pop over to say hello (with a busy restaurant!) and grace our table so I could gush on him about the plant-based options!

My tip would be to SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT. Sadly we didn’t but the table next to us ordered the Hot Chocolate with torched marshmellows and all the fixings and it looked amazing — all the desserts looked like winners.

Even though gratuity is added into the bill, we left Hannah an extra tip because she made our experience exceptional. When we return we hope to see Hannah again!

All in all – our two favorite “do not miss” restaurants in Big Sky were The Landing and Cortina at the Montage.

The Landing does not disappoint. In fact, it blows away your expectations. We were there for a tasting menu BBQ event and enjoyed over 10+ dishes. Everything was incredible, not one bad dish. The service was outstanding, we had Diana as a waitress and she was so polite, attentive, and kind. The view here is unmatched. Highly recommend and we look forward to dining there again soon!

The best dinner experience we had in Big Sky by far.
The food is exceptional, we ordered beet salad that is really delicious, some raclette with wild mushrooms that is really good as well, and the star of the show was beef tartare with caviar; the flavor was just out of this world phenomenal. For main course we had a steak and some special fish of the day; the steak was cooked to perfection with some really delicious sweet potato and the fish was also excellent. The cocktails made by Micah were prepared specially to our liking, the service was smooth and impeccable, our server Jacob was very attentive and professional. The ambience is very special, the views around are spectacular and the sunset is just stunning.

The Landing is more than high-end Alpine dining at its finest – it’s an otherworldly culinary experience. Executive Chef Matt Dahlkemper and his team are creative artists who put a lot of thought and care into preparing your locally-sourced meal. The surprising, delectable layers of flavor in each dish, pops of texture (from savory to sweet), and bold hand-crafted cocktails will leave you wanting more. Among my favorites: 406 Lamb Leg, Spore Attic Smoked Mushrooms, Montana Waygu Strip Loin, Curried Corn Chowder with Lobster, Charred Eggplant Tahini, and Willy’s Bourbon Caramel Custard (!!). Nestled between Lone Mountain and the Spanish Peaks, the views are breathtaking and the service is impeccable. Thanks to my server, Diana, and team for a truly wonderful experience. And, a special shout-out and lots of love to The Landing’s globe-trotting chef and culinary legend, who also is my brother. You will definitely want to add The Landing to your list of must-visits next time you’re in Big Sky!

We had an outstanding experience at the Landing! A group of six of us came to celebrate a birthday dinner here, and the service could not have been better. Diana and Simone made our experience particularly wonderful, recommending their menu favorites, accommodating dietary restrictions and preferences, and making my husband’s birthday incredibly special. The entire kitchen staff even signed a card for him. Probably one of the best service experiences we’ve ever had at a restaurant. The aesthetic of the restaurant is also great. Would highly recommend!

My family of 4 had Valentines preset dinner here. Service was great! Too dark to see the view….I realize that’s not the restaurants fault, but kind of a bummer. Rated atmosphere a 3 because we were seated right in front of kitchen, so we kept hearing the kitchen yell out plate orders. Food was ok, but NOT worth the money. We knew it was going too expensive, but food should have matched the price.
