Industrial-chic riverside eatery with a patio serving burgers, sandwiches, breakfast & cocktails.

The Landing Kitchen is an awesome oasis in Bala Cynwyd! I loved the atmosphere but unfortunately the food fell a little flat.
I got the fried chicken sandwich and fries($20). The fries were awesome, salted well and super crispy. The chicken sandwich wasn’t great though, it wasn’t seasoned at all not even salt and the bun was dry. The pickles and spicy mayo added a little bit of flavor but not enough. My friend got the burger and she enjoyed it!
They brought out the wrong food at first so they gave us a cinnamon roll for free which was nice! It was pretty yummy. All the food did come out quickly and service was kind.
I loved the amount of space outside to sit. Perfect for the gorgeous days we’ve been having and an ideal space to bring kids and dogs! Although the food wasn’t the best, I am willing to come back and try other things because of the ambiance.

The Landing is one of the best places around! It’s beautifully maintained and so family friendly. But the staff really always go above and beyond. The one male manager that I know is a Dad, always goes the extra step of hospitality I rarely see these days to make my family feel welcomed with our baby. The baristas who I wish I had their names to shout out make the best mocha lattes and always are so kind! It my favorite place and always excited for new specials and summer days to come there! Thanks Landing Morning crew for all you do!

If only the food were good this place would be a staple for me. The view and atmosphere is perfect, really cozy and nice, the service was great as well. The food is their only fail and it’s overpriced. I paid $25 just for myself: 1 chicken sandwich and 1 iced chai latte. The Iced Chai Latte tasted like milk with only a drop of chai flavor in it. The chicken sandwich was so bland and boring, it tasted like a frozen meal heated up I honestly couldn’t finish it. If they had better recipes and more food options this place would be perfect. I hope they do something about this since many reviews say the same thing.

We visited in october/September of 2025
This is the most beautiful place to hang out with kids and friends and neighbors. It’s setup is perfect for sitting and watching your kids play. It feels safe and enclosed and there’s stuff for both little and big kids to do. The fire pits were a wonderful touch.
The service was great. Super fast and very friendly.
The beer selection was fine and met everyone’s needs. Nothing to write home about.
The food was absolutely abysmal. Ridiculously overpriced, very very small and just plain gross. Maybe we went on an off night but I cannot imagine how anyone would be okay eating that food for that price. It was on the level of microwaved one bag dinner from the grocery store. The “burger” was a childs portion and was “smash burger” style but it was just two small very dry patties on a slider bun. The soba noodle bowl was a pile of tasteless and dry noodles that were somehow spicy and bland at the same time. The kids food was edible.
Of this place stepped it up food wise, we’d go once a week and there would be a line to get in.

Ok
I want to take a minute to talk about service!
This place is amazing to come with big groups, easy to order, quick delivery but the people …
I ordered my food with Hai (probably not spelling right) but he was the most lively avocado toast I’ve ever seen. That’s the level of commitment I want to see of anybody working on Halloween, he was so pleasant and kind – he kept tha vibe and good times we were having here at Landing Kitchen.
Times are hard but when you see people
Going above and beyond sparking the joy of the season that is super special – great day!

We loved the Landing Kitchen! Lovely outdoor dining area. The food wasn’t the best I’ve had that’s for sure, but the view and ambiance more than made up for it. We did have breakfast, but it looked like alot more options for lunch so I’ll just assume lunch would be better

This place was really unexpected. I didn’t know it was happening. It’s quite large and has plenty of room. We went on Saturday afternoon and stayed for a few hours in total. There are many games to play and it was delightful to be that close to the river, you can practically touch it. The bridge was a nice walk and rented a bike for a quick ride around. They had some vendors, bought a little plant. The food was not exceptional honestly but I was impressed with the avocado toast and they had a sweet potato burger!!! So they do cater to those who don’t eat meat and dairy. They have drinks as well. There is a small ice cream side. It’s a nice place for lunch and maybe even dinner. Check it out the atmosphere is really lovely!

My family were staying at the residence inn right next door and visited this cafe a few times. We had the pastrami egg and cheese, a burger, chicken Caesar wrap, and the new açaí bowl. All of these items were perfectly made and delicious. The staff were all super friendly and helpful! On the last day we stopped in for coffee and got an iced mocha and an iced peppermint mocha which my husband and I both enjoyed. An added bonus was the board games available to play and an awesome outside space with a fire pit, corn hole, and other various activities which my kids in particular enjoyed.
