I went with 6 other friends and just had a wonderful time! Our server CC was great to talk to and made sure everyone had a good time. I got the seasonal snowball marg, (magnificent) and a shrimp+scallop pasta which had house-made sauce (delicious). The atmosphere was perfect for a nice restaurant by the lake. Highly recommend!!!!

Made reservations for a large group of 50+, a team of high school hockey players and their parents on a Saturday two weeks before Christmas. Mark, the owner, and I created a limited menu to keep things moving out of the kitchen in a timely fashion and keep things running smoothly. I sent him our logo and he printed out special menus for us that really created a special touch that our party appreciated. The service was great, handled the separate checks like pros, the drink menu creative and festive, the place was decorated beautifully for Christmas and the food was good and even with the limited menu there were plenty of options for everyone. We’ll definitely be back next year. It was a great experience!

Always love the Hawaiian Burger subbed with chicken. Salads and fries are great. Great environment, seating, and outdoor patio. Peggy is always great! Peggy is a true veteran server that always goes above and beyond! Kelly was a great host and even brought my food out. Unfortunately, as a single on the patio it’s easy to attend to other needs and forget the single.
Blonde server maybe also named Kelly (said on bill) took a while to come out once seated. She was nice but not attentive or intentional and did not offer desserts before handing me the bill… Pet peeve if not asked for desserts before the bill unless business is too busy.
Staff was very distant on overall service for having one other table at 3:00. I’m not mad…just offering feedback on service.
Update: 30 min later driving by plate still out on patio. Still going to continue eating here though!
Update: the renovations look great, food was great, server had sunglasses on head inside but still attentive and good.

We drove down from Michigan with some friends. I’ve always loved the Rubens there, so I’ve always talked it up, everything was amazing there except the Reuben, hardly any sauerkraut or dressing on the sandwich,. The top of the sandwich was hard the bottom of soggy there was about half the meat that is normally on it. Don’t know if I will drive back down there for the Reuben again. Drinks where pretty good, the bloody marry was not the best, tasted like light tomato juice and celery water, no spice to it at all, and almost all ice.

I was delayed meeting my family in Culver for the weekend, so I wasn’t sure I was going to make our dinner plans. Donna was incredibly accommodating. She was so kind and made sure I got some food and drinks before she closed us out for the night, even though it was late.
The Lakehouse Grille served me one of the best salads I’ve ever had. I ordered the Strawberry Bibb with Blackened Salmon. The seasoning was full of flavor but not overwhelming. We enjoyed the patio while finishing our drinks.

Jacob served me. He was professional, positive, and catered to all my issues. I haven’t had service like this since being at my grandma’s house. Lauren, CC, Crystal, and Dana are amazing bartenders, plz don’t ever lose them. Finally, Alexys and Maricel are amazing. They work so hard, and help so many people!

2023_05_10 A very fun atmosphere! Good food and service! It is across the street from Lake Maxinkuckee. A good sized lake that appears to have Culver as its cultural epicenter. The Lakeside Grille is right in the center of Culver. Our server was continuously checking on us and served us well.

I came here with a craving for seafood – really for sushi, but didn’t anticipate that anywhere in this part of Indiana would have anything remotely close. I saw ahi tuna on the menu and figured that would do, but to my surprise there is a sushi bar in the restaurant! I had the “caterpillar roll” and a spicy tuna roll – both were delicious, but I was especially pleased and impressed with the caterpillar roll. The pickled ginger was a delightful surprise as well – tender, fresh, and flavorful. This easily ranks highly in my book. To quote, and slightly revise on, my favorite (fictional) food critic Anton Ego, “Not everyone can make great sushi, but great sushi can be made by anyone.”

A great lunch stop on a beautiful lakeside afternoon! The Reuben was advertised as special; it was absolutely the best I’ve ever eaten! So tasty and juicy! The chips are great too! I especially liked them dipped in the roasted garlic aioli that came with my wife’s pork tenderloin!
