This is an Italian restaurant that specializes in homemade food. Includes: homemade spaghetti, cavatelli and cheese raviolis along with soup and chicken parmesan. And of course our famous sauce and meatballs. The restaurant was started by a group of Italian ladies doing what they do best – cooking! They would prepare all week and then do Sunday dinner. Thus, the restaurant in keeping with tradition is only open on Sunday 11:30 am – 6:00 pm. Take-outs are available from 10:00 am – 5:30 pm. Orders can be done using our online system at our website.

Their ravioli and sauce is my absolute favorite. Would definitely recommend ordering ahead but they’re curbside for pick up orders is still very easy and relatively quick. And the best part is you don’t even have to get out of your car

The Ladies of the Dukes is the best Italian restaurant in New Castle. I can’t say enough good things about it. Reservations are highly recommended. Prices are very budget friendly. Waiters, waitresses, and greeters are all cordial and helpful. Very pleasant place to enjoy your Sunday dinner. And I highly recommend the spaghetti and tiramisu!

The best Italian food I’ve had in the area. Everything from the appetizers (specifically the pepperoni and cheese puffs) to the homemade pasta to the sauce tasted phenomenal. The only thing I’ll say was my pasta did come out a bit cold but it still tasted delicious. The homemade cake was superb as well.

First and foremost, we have eaten in this restaurant or picked-up take out for many years since I was young. The service and food have been steadily declining. Related to this incident, we purchased several meals for our family. When we got home I found the pictured dinner which was ice cold and looked like it was scraped off somebody else’s plate, disgusting. We thought the other dinners would be fine however they were not. We all got sick for several days following the food from this restaurant. To make matters worse, I called immediately when I got home to advise of the dinner pictured, left a message with my name and telephone number however nobody bothered to respond. I called a few days later after we all got sick and, again, nobody bothered to return my call. Unfortunately, this place just isn’t what it used to be, declining service and food. This seems to be a problem when a restaurant forgoes customer service and proper food based on their prior reputation. Based on what the dinner pictured below looks like, what other corners are being cut at the expense of customers health and well-being. Since the restaurant won’t bother to respond, I’ll follow-up with the Pennsylvania Department of Health…I can’t have it on my conscious to allow others to get sick from this place. Very disappointed to see a former New Castle staple fall to this level.

We had my parents 50th wedding anniversary party here. The food was amazing! Everyone was asking for menus to take home. Lori did a fantastic job with the food! Very easy to work with and sweet as can be. The 2 servers also were amazing! They bussed the tables fast and efficiently. We can’t wait to plan our next party there

I got there by 11 as the night before Google had said it opens at 11. A young man walked up to my car and told me that they now open at 11:30. I mentioned the Google and he told me that apparently some old manager had the access to it and that they couldn’t change it.
Deciding not to waste the gas of driving home and then having to turn right around, I just sat there in the parking lot. Later that day the Google hours mysteriously changed to 11:30. Being lied to is not a good first impression.
Anyways, 75% of the clientele were elderly over 75. Not that that’s a problem but you’ll see why I bring that up in the next paragraph. Anyways, this place was packed to the gills with people and even though I didn’t have a reservation I was seated instantly. The server and hostess were very kind.
That’s a shame because the food was terrible. They start by giving you ice cold wonder bread with butter packets. I ordered cavatelli. The pasta was gluey and gummy, mushy, with bland sauce. I can see why the food is like this given most of their customers are old enough for dentures and a free retirement home placement. But it tasted terrible, would not recommend it unless you’re super old.
Will not be back which is a shame because the service was kind and it was cheap but the food was so awful that it’s not worth going back.
