My husband and I celebrated our 17th anniversary at the LAB at Armen’s Barrels tonight with our family. From start to finish everything was incredible! The server was amazing and remembered us from previous visits. The drinks are out of this world!! I personally recommend the Mary Ann!! Don’t be thrown off by the smoked rosemary, it is the best part of the cocktail!! I had the pasta special with linguine with a tarragon cream sauce and locally foraged chanterelle mushrooms. Knowing Chef David Galiffa and his incredible attention to detail, I knew it would be great. However, this dish was not great, it was the epitome of absolute perfection!! Bravo Chef!!! Our family experienced the LAB, Chef David and his team for the first time tonight and they were speechless; and trust me, this doesn’t happen often. I could write a book on this place, but I won’t. I will simply give a word of advice from someone who has been in the restaurant industry since age 15. Get yourself to the LAB at Armen’s Barrels; it will be the best decision you have ever made! Chef David Galiffa, you Sir are an artist, a visionary and an amazing individual. I have watched you rise over the past few years and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for you! I look forward to saying, “I knew him when.” Thank you for a stunning evening and a memorable anniversary dinner.

My husband and I came here for Valentine’s day and definitely enjoyed ourselves. We loved our dishes; i got the sea bass with risotto, while he enjoyed the ribeye with potatoes. He noted that the steak was cooked perfectly (medium rare). The ambiance was pleasant and comforting, offering soft light with a guitarist for the evening for an ample, upscale feel. Our server was efficient and kind, too. She was quite witty which made our experience even more enjoyable.

Wow…Chef David did a phenomenal job with the menu here. The ambiance was right up our alley with the dark and intimate dining room setting. Cool atmosphere with the wine barrels and set up in a converted former ice rink. Drink options were also top notch and Armen’s wine is worth buying a bottle to take home. Would definitely recommend to family, friends and anyone who has yet to partake in this hidden gem.

I have traveled the world eating at Michelin Star, James Beard, and multiple 5-Star ranked restaurants. I am completely blown away that a restaurant of this caliber exists in Washington Pa that I believe stands toe to toe with all of them. The service was excellent. Drinks were unique and on point. The food was perfection on a plate!!!! Presentation, flavor, seasoning and execution.

My husband an I went here for Valentines day dinner on a Friday due to our schedules to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary. First we were unsure due to the location. The outdoor ascetics throw you off as it looks like an old building. We go in to be greeted at the host stand with a smile. We were probably the first people in for the night. Automatic doors open adding a nice touch. It was a great atmosphere inside, darker with just the table lights.

Excellent from start to finish. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. The calamari and crispy brussel sprouts were outstanding. My husband had steak cooked to perfection and my salmon was exceptional. We finished with chocolate cake that was just slightly dry but we ate it all regardless.

One of the most amazing places in Washington PA. Hidden in Washington at the old roller rink you will not be disappointed. From the moment you open the doors to when they open the doors to the dining rooms you know you are somewhere special. With barrels and bottles all around with the home made brew make sure you grab a drink before the appetizers which have the sauces reduced to an amazing flavor profile. From seafood to steaks to an amazing burger with smoked Swiss. The staff are there for your dining experience. During this visit I had a burger made from Kobe beef not found anywhere else in the area. Prepared medium well it has plenty of juice flavor all through. The chef David stopped out to our table and visited and was an amazing experience. I have dined at many places and this is above and beyond anything in Vegas, Maui, and other locations. Thank you too so they start at The Lab at Armens Barrels.

Don’t think twice. Jump in your car and take a ride to Washington, PA, just off Rt 40 toward Laboratory, where on a small neighborhood side street, you will find a true gem with food and atmosphere worth the trip.
