My wife and went on the coldest friday of the year. We couldn’t have been in a warmer place both physically and mentally for a meal. The oysters in half shell and charcuterie board were delicious and presentation was to par. My wife’s burger was cooked as desired and delicious. I had the special red bean chilli with fish. Lots a flavor with heat and the special was fairly priced same as the menu. Thought that was nice. I hate paying a premium for specials. The bottle of wine was delicious also. Great place, great service and great cooking!

My partner has a lot of allergies, and they made her an incredibly delicious meal completely off the menu. The service we had with Margaret was friendly and efficient, and the design of the restaurant was beautiful. 10/10, would and will come back here now often.

This is the most underrated restaurant in all of Skaneateles and the surrounding areas. The interior is decorated similar to a transitional, upscale Manhattan speak easy. It’s elegant but not over the top. The dress code is surprisingly relaxed which makes everyone feel a bit more comfortable which I prefer. Bernardo is an amazing bartender and Saul and his staff are incredible people. The food is out of this world and they have curated one of the best wine lists in the area. They also have a new sommelier and he seems very knowledgeable. The price point is excellent compared to the other restaurants in the area. I’m not sure why people think it’s too expensive. It’s the same price for some of the entrees here as it is for The Sherwood Inn! Give Krebs a try. You won’t be disappointed!

First-time experience at The Krebs!
First of all, I loved it. The food quality, music, interior, and staff were all perfect. I quickly understood why this place has such a high rating. For appetizers, I tried the bison tartare, and for the main course, I opted for the duck breast and bone-in beef—both were superb.
I visited on my birthday and had left a note about it when making the reservation. Every staff member passing by greeted me with a happy birthday, and there was even a “happy birthday” lettering on the ice cream plate.
Additionally, the overall vibe of the restaurant was awesome. The ambient lighting inside the restaurant was optimal, creating a luxurious atmosphere complemented by the music.
I will definitely revisit and explore other items on the menu.
Having experienced fine dining in many countries, I can say I am highly satisfied with The Krebs. The staff doesn’t pressure you to order alcohol, unlike some other fine dining establishments, and they don’t solely recommend expensive menus. While it may not be important to everyone, if I were to suggest an area for improvement, it would be the plating. I’m not sure if all the plates are plain white, but introducing other colors and enhancing the presentation with more intricate decorations could elevate the dining experience. Don’t get me wrong; I’m not saying their current style isn’t fancy—it’s just that there’s potential for even more sophistication.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

This is the hidden gem of the Finger Lakes. Krebs is the place my family goes every time we have to celebrate something. The great food and incredible wine selection make dinners unforgettable.
The staff are very knowledgeable and were able to answer all my questions and even accommodate my food allergies or suggest other dishes.
I can’t wait for my next visit!

A MUST EXPERIENCE! Ask for the wine book and be prepared for such an incredible selection. Sommelier was brilliant, down to earth, spot on recommendations, answered questions in a very approachable and welcoming manner. We sat at the bar and the bar tenders were attentive, personable, and well versed on both beverage and food menus, and just made our night perfect. Nothing was overlooked, and both were very detailed oriented. The chef and staff, just unbelievable. From the squash soup to the wild boar, the lobster risotto, the duck, and the lamb – each taste was spot on. Temperatures perfect. Desserts – order one of each so you can just appreciate the span of flavors. Be sure to check out the dessert ports and wines. Fabulous job! We were walking ins and were able to seat at the bar immediately. If you prefer the beautifully decorated dining room, suggest that you make a reservation.
