Magical. The atmosphere in wonderful. Decorated for the holidays. My server was fabulous, kind, sweet, helpful. (Fame T). The food was amazing. I can’t wait to come back again. Now, off to the spa for a hot stone pedi and mani. Pls go here. I’m sure you will love it!

A nice calm place to get the best bone-in wings in Milwaukee. Great staff, polite and always on top of a refill. And the atmosphere is elegant and peaceful. I’ve been back, and I’ll be back.

Popped in for a spot of dinner on the way to a concert. No issues getting a table. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Sat outside, which is an all too fleeting occurrence in Milwaukee. Absolutely lovely. The food and drinks were very good indeed. Fresh and tasty. Nothing over the top, but what they do, they do well. Would wholeheartedly recommend stopping in if you’re in the area.

We made reservations to be sure we would have no issues considering it was Valentine’s Day weekend. They seemed to have room but we had a bigger group and reservations were a good idea. There were a few other good sized groups that came in also…
The food and beverages were very good. They had great options including selections for vegetarians. There were no complaints about the food from anyone in our party.
The only issue that we really had was that our waiter might have been over booked. He was knowledgeable and very friendly but did not get back to us as much as he should have. We even had to reach out to one of the Hostesses to get our check taken care of. I am not positive why he didn’t get back to us, so I am guessing he might have needed assistance. I wasn’t thrilled about a tip being included just because we had 6 people considering the lack of service we received.
I think the look of this place and the quality of the food is worth a stop and I wouldn’t be against returning here. Maybe going on a popular “dining out” weekend should be considered. One of our party had been here before and did have good things to say about those visits. I would recommend The Knick if you are looking for a stop for good food. I also loved the glass sculptures and the rest of the decor!

Food was just ok. We chose this restaurant for its good prices and selection of brunch menu. However we were disappointed in the taste.

Great location close to the lakefront – cozy seating and good service.

The Huevos Rancheros was delicious with fresh tasting salsa, cooked to order eggs, and gooey cheesy quesodilla. The atmosphere is classic elegant German and servers are polite and friendly. A cozy breakfast spot to enjoy the food, water view, and still able to talk.

We had the chicken wings, crab dip and sweet and spicy shrimp.

The shrimp wasn’t sweet or spicy. It was tangy i guess.

The crab dip was pretty decent. I guess it makes me think or crab ragoon dip (Steny’s) so the large crackers didn’t seem like the best fit.

The wings were ok. More of a buffalo rub i guess, not saucy.

I visited the Knick on three occasions during a recent vacation.

Breakfast: I ordered the special of the day which was an omelette with cheese and vegetables, a side of breakfast potatoes and toast. The breakfast potatoes were very good, cooked crispy and well seasoned. The omelette was lackluster- bland and a bit watery.

Lunch: Turkey burger with a side Caesar salad. The salad was tiny and very basic, and a bit overdressed. The turkey burger was great, but needed more sauce. The sauce is drizzled on top of the bacon, leaving both sides of the bun dry. It turned out okay since the turkey burger itself was not dry and was pretty flavorful. I did ask for a side of ranch and unfortunately, it was not good. It tasted off somehow, and I didn’t finish it.

Appetizer: I got the crab dip, which was good. Rich and cheesy, but wished there were some bread or other vegetables with it besides just lavosh which can be a little dry against an already rich cheese dip. I still enjoyed it and the crab was noticeable.

Dinner: I opted for the bone in pork chop. This dinner is served with German potato salad, red cabbage with apple, broccolini, and a dab of grainy mustard on the side. Everything on this plate was incredible! The pork chop was everything I want in a chop- thick, crisp on the outside and succulent on the inside. The potato salad was perfect- balancing vinegar and smoky bacon with diced potatoes. The broccolini was cooked perfectly and I devoured every bit. The mustard was somehow addictive..it was sweet and tangy all at once. The red cabbage was a great bite along with a little pork chop and smear of mustard, all in one!

Beverages: I had wine, a mocktail and an NA beer during my visits. Really appreciate the variety of selection and the cocktails I saw being served looked very well made.

Service: the servers were excellent, though the food does take a little longer to come out. But I will say, every one of my meals was hot and fresh- I’d rather wait 20 minutes for my food and it be good quality.

Ambiance: it’s a hotel restaurant so it follows that modern but not too upscale vibe. It is not the most pristine or clean (some little messes on floors near busy traffic areas, sticky feeling menus) but the covered patio overlooking the park and surrounding area is very nice.

I would definitely recommend the Knick for anyone looking to relax and have a tasty hot meal and drink with decent service. Grab a patio spot on a nice day if you can!

We were there yesterday for lunch. First time for both of us! It won’t be the last. Our food, delicious! Roasted turkey avocado bacon sandwich and turkey burger with a side Ceasars salad. My friend had wine, my cocktail was excellent. Please never change the decor, very cozy! Everyone was very nice. And great music in the background!!
We are making plans for brunch!

Pretty good local staple! Only drawback is finding good parking near the restaurant. Happy hour offerings are all pretty solid appetizers. Entrees are very good as well as I have had the Ny strip, burger and their wings as meals over various visits.
