We have been here 3 times in the 9 months we have lived here and every time has been spectacular. Chef Kyle is absolutely amazing and everything we have ordered has been delicious. The cocktails are also very tasty and the service is quick and accommodating. Our last night living in Clearwater was spent here at The Kitchen and we are so delighted to have found this gem.

This was our fourth visit to The Kitchen and everything continued to exceed our expectations. We highly recommend the bao bun appetizer, but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Thank you to our wonderful server, Rebecca, who made our experience a fantastic one.

The food and beverages were great! Steak sandwich was offered and I wanted rare and it actually came out rare and the cut of streak was excellent with the perfect amount of carmelized shallots with balsamic arugula. Service was great. Made from scratch taste, not a chain.

Such a cute place! Shrimp and grits were delicious! Lovely atmosphere and vibe. If you haven’t been here it’s a great spot for sure! I will definitely be back! Sooo cute and fun spot! Love the bazooka gum and mints in the bathroom too! Small touches make this place even cuter!

WOW!!! I was blown away by this experience! First of all, David was so kind and accommodating, welcomed our party and gave us a beautiful table. Scott was our server he was so cool and great, gave great suggestions, helpful, funny and nice. THE FOOD oh my god, fresh fish, perfectly cooked steak, delish poutine, good drinks, and we enjoyed it all in a pretty environment. Warm and lived in coastal artistic feel and so comfortable and pretty, i live 45 mins away, but i will be back, its worth it.

A cute restaurant in Safety Harbor with good service. Seafood was a real disappointment however.Shrimp and grits swimming in sauce and very few grits. Shrimp fra diavolo was flavorless and not well sauced. Black Drum was good as was the Saganaki appetizer. Very slow kitchen service in spite of our requesting quick service as we had a show to attend….50 minutes after our appetizers.

We’ve been several times. It’s been a mixed experience. The first few times we had to wait extremely long time but the food was delicious. This last time, and they have undergone a menu change, we got the short ribs and filet mignon and neither were really any good. The short ribs were chewy and not cooked well. The lamb chops were also just average. The filet was just average and not the highest quality cut. The cocktails and side dishes are pretty tasty. The ambiance is decent. But really when you spent over $200 for three people to eat and have a cocktail, you really need to have the entrees nailed down. And unfortunately we won’t be going back. They almost have the full package but unfortunately fall short on the entrees. Well maybe we’ll go back just for cocktails and appetizers. We do like it there but for fine dining it doesn’t make the cut. Also they have a curry on the menu but unfortunately it has milk or cream in it. So my family member cannot have lactose was not able to have it and then all the other dishes are meat paste. Not great for vegetarians.

June 2025:
Quaint little restaurant in Safety Harbor. It’s a repurposed home, so it’s small and still has the fireplaces. They added a covered outdoor deck in the back with fans, so you can bring your fur friends 🙂
We had the Breakfast of Champions (2 eggs, 2 pieces of toast, deep fried potatoes, and 2 pieces of bacon) and the Stuffed French toast, which is decadent.

I had high hopes. Was in the area and was considering The Tides or The Kitchen. Went with the Kitchen based on the menu. Ordered crab cakes. Very mediocre. French fries were good. Like home made wedges…. Worst thing was We arrived around 5pm. Got our drinks after We received our appetizer. We received the appetizer at 530. Our dinner didn’t get to us until 630. In 1 hour we seen our server twice. Both times Sge said the food was coming out. The entire staff at this location besides the Host(He was great) needs to go to Rooster and The Till and learn more or read Unreasonable Hospitality. If a mistake was made in the kitchen, they could have informed us of that and maybe even offered a complimentary drink. Or just told us instead of being told “Your food is coming right up” and it took exactly an hour And My risotto tasted like air. No flavor. The black drum wasn’t bad at all. The Bao Buns were ok. But overall. I’ll never go back.

A friend and I walked in at 11:30 when they opened, restaurant was empty so plenty of choices for different seating in a few rooms or outside, far too hot for us, but cute environment. We were brought over water and a soda fairly quick then our waiter took at least 10 minutes to come back for order, he said he got caught up in a conversation, no big deal as we were chatting as well. We put in our sandwich order along w/ a mocktail each, lots of time passed, maybe 20-25 minutes waiting for our basic ish lunches w/ still only a couple tables in restaurant. My friend had the mahi sandwich w/ slightly too much mayonnaise which made it soggy and she enjoyed her mocktail gin and tonic, light and refreshing. I was scoping out the menu before arriving and couldn’t wait for the fried green tomato BLT, unfortunately there was so much pimento cheese and maybe aioli it made the sandwich soggy which was a bummer. Flavor profile was there, just order the pimento cheese on the side. I’d try this place for brunch next time, maybe it was an off day.
