The girls up front are angels. Best food in the entire area. Super clean. Elegant inside. Woman in the BOH was beyond kind and took great passion in everything they cooked. The dessert section is insane, the dinners are amazing. I got the meat lasagna, white chicken enchilada and the teriyaki beef and noodles. 5/5. Everything was 5/5. Im so upset I didn’t know about this place sooner. Absolutely fantastic

8AM breakfast with friends today. Bright, cheery, spotlessly clean and delicious. Will surely be back again! The breakfast potatoes were crispy — they are coated with a cajun type dry spice — a little salty and not too spicy.

They should franchise their concept. Yes, it seems simple — fresh take out + prepared meals — but it’s not. Instead of adding fillers to boost profit, or scrimping on ingredients, The Kitchen creates every dish as if you were sitting at their own personal home table. Our staples are salmon & roasted veggies, Harvest salad, pickled shrimp, cauliflower crust pizza. And in 2-, 4-, or more serving sizes. We usually load up our freezer for those guests that you know will drop in. Gift shop, take out, coffee shop — it’s got something for everyone.

I am absolutely in love with this place! What stands out is how they make you feel every single time..like they’re sincerely happy to see their customers. The decor is amazing and comfortable too, we really needed this on Lady’s Island. The menu is excellent, soups are fabulous, I could go on and on. The Kitchen has really got it all figured out!

I am writing this review with deep disappointment after yet another discouraging experience at The Kitchen. As a woman of color and a local resident who makes a point to support small businesses—especially on Shop Local Saturday—I expected a warm and welcoming environment. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience.

Today, I entered the store and was not greeted, acknowledged, or offered assistance, despite staff members engaging warmly with other (white) patrons. I watched as other customers were asked if they needed help, given suggestions, and even had items carried for them. In contrast, I walked around the store multiple times without a single employee approaching me. It wasn’t until I went to check out that anyone spoke to me. Even when I asked for suggestions, the response felt reluctant and far from the level of service others received.

This is not an isolated incident. I have visited The Kitchen several times and have consistently experienced the same dismissive treatment. As a loyal local customer who spends my hard-earned money here—and in a store where items are not inexpensive—I expect the same level of respect, service, and acknowledgment given to every other customer.

I believe in supporting local businesses, but I will not return until this establishment takes meaningful steps to ensure that *all* customers feel seen, valued, and equally served. No one should have to question whether they are receiving inferior service because of their race.

Food is amazing! Such a great space and the staff is so nice! The focaccia hero is a must, bread was so soft.

We did not purchase anything. We were in the store for over 15 minutes looking at what appeared to be many interesting and delicious items. Despite multiple staff walking by us, we were not even acknowledged.as being in the building. As someone who has worked in customer service for over 30 years this was disappointing to say the least. We walked a few shops down to a delightful butcher shop that had us laughing and we happily did business there.

Everything is so nice and clean. The French dip was delicious, tomato basil soup was delicious, but the chocolate chip cookies are definitely worth your trip inside!!

The Kitchen has expanded, adding breakfast, lunch and a coffee bar. Stopped by for breakfast this morning and ordered the avocado toast. It was outstanding! Great combination of flavors with the pickled onion and tomatoes. Also had the “regular” coffee which I thought was excellent! Can’t wait to go back!
