The wife took me for my 40th birthday. Not my first time to The Keg, but definitely my favorite.
Our server, Anton, was amazing.
The atmosphere is always excellent. Relaxing, mood lighting. Perfect for dates or special occasions.
Our food was delicious. I had the filet mignon. I had it medium well (steak connoisseurs will hate me for it, but, oh well). It was cooked perfectly.
We had billy miner pie for dessert and wow, it definitely lives up to the hype.
Excellent experience and we will definitely be back again.

The real star of the evening, however, was our server, Scott. It is rare to find service this polished; he was attentive, professional, and easily the best server we’ve encountered in a long time. He made a great night feel truly special.

The kitchen didn’t miss a beat. The food arrived hot, “sexy” in its presentation, and tasted exactly as a premium steakhouse should.
• Teriyaki Sirloin: Perfectly seasoned and cooked to the requested temperature.
• Twice-Baked Potato: Loaded with bacon and incredibly indulgent—the ultimate comfort side.

We went to celebrate my husband’s birthday and had a great time. Service was excellent, ambience was nice (even though it was busy), and the food was delicious. The sirloin, blackened chicken, and mashed potatoes were cooked perfectly and mouth watering. Kids menu was a great value, and the complimentary Billy Miner Pie was the perfect treat. Definitely worth it! Highly recommend.

Came over to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday, we walked in after opening and was seated in 2-5 minutes. The servers did an excellent job of checking us in and the food was great. The sourdough and three cheese butter was dangerously good, so much so that I had to stop myself from snacking on it before the main course. I had the Blackened chicken with mushroom rice instead of potatoes (was feeling a bit carb heavy that day) and at first I thought the chicken and seasoning felt a bit overpowering but after mixing it with the rice, it all seemed to come together. Definitely worth the experience and highly recommended to make a reservation especially if you plan to come with a party of 2 or more.

Walked in and had reservations was worried about what experience we were going to have as the hostess is very unfriendly and seemed more interested in having conversations with other staff. Thankfully once we were seated the waitress was excellent and the food was good as well. Bread came out hot, garlic bread and Mac and cheese was delicious. The prime rib was very tasty and the filet cut like butter. The cocktails were very good as well. Still giving a five star review although the hostess isn’t really suited for front of house.

Great steakhouse dark and dim atmosphere. Booths were very private. The service was excellent. The food was spectacular.
We had calamari which had a great addition of fried peppers and jalopenos. The Tuna tartare was prepared perfectly. Chips were perfect.
The round of steaks were cooked as requested with great flavour. Sides were delicious.

A must-have experience in Nova Scotia. From the beautiful entrance, the warm atmosphere, the delicious food and exceptional service, I can’t recommend this place enough. The only reason I’m hesitant to rate it 5 stars is the high price. I’d consider The Keg as semi-fancy, however everything is priced as if it’s a high end fancy place. Furthermore, their side of fries was nothing special. I was expecting a unique twist, but they were plain. Lastly, I want to re-iterate how amazing the service was. The waiters/waitresses are trained and very professional. They don’t linger and they turn around when you’re paying. Highly recommend!

We hosted our staff Christmas party at The Keg in Dartmouth Crossing and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. We had a group of nine, and everything was handled flawlessly. The food was exceptional across the board, exactly what you hope for and expect, and then some.
What really made the night memorable was the service. I wish I could remember our server’s name as it was a few weeks ago, but he was truly fantastic. Genuine, attentive without being overbearing, and incredibly professional. He made everyone feel welcome and taken care of, which elevated the entire evening.
Coordinating a group dinner can sometimes feel stressful, but this experience was seamless and enjoyable. The atmosphere, the service, and the quality of the food made it a perfect choice for a celebration. We will absolutely be back and I would highly recommend this location for both special occasions and everyday dining.

I love the Keg. Was there lastnight and tried the prime rib. Unfortunatley it was not great. My cut was super fatty and it just didnt taste good. I love eating at the Keg but i wont ve ordering the Prime Rib again. Our server was fantastic and the wait time was on point. I was just disopointes with the Prime Rib. Ive had better thats for sure
