I came here to try their mushroom steak, and it tasted delicious. The mashed potatoes were also delicious, and the vegetables were well-cooked. The server was incredible, too bad I forgot her name. Will definitely come back to this restaurant if I go back to Banff again. Highly recommended !!

We’d made a reservation the night before for my other half’s Birthday dinner. We were welcomed warmly and looked after very well by Madeline who was very knowledgeable and helpful with her recommendations. We had the bacon wrapped Scallops to start and shared the 20oz steak as our main which was beautifully cooked. We also had the sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was delightful! A bit on the pricey side for us but totally worth going for a special night and we would definitely go there again.

Went here for date night, staffs were friendly and service was fairly fast considering how busy it was when we went there. My partner got the sirloin steak and i got the blackened chicken. Steak was good except my partner asked for medium rare and got a rare but thats okay he still ate it anyway for experience. The blackened chicken was delicious but it’s a bit too sweet even if its salted. Overall really great experience!

We visited this restaurant and overall had a good impression. We didn’t get a full sense of the interior, as we were seated at the first table near the entrance, but it looked quite cozy overall.
The food was decent. The steak was standard but cooked to the requested doneness. The warm bread (ciabatta-style) with butter was very tasty. The risotto was slightly al dente.
Service was also good.
Overall, it’s probably not a place to travel to Banff just for, but if you happen to stop by, you won’t be disappointed.

I really enjoy this restaurant chain. The food and drinks are consistently high quality, and I can always find my favorite dishes on the menu. The service is reliably excellent — friendly, attentive, and professional. Overall, it’s a place I’m always happy to return to.

We had dinner at The Keg in Banff, and overall it was a great experience. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, perfect for a mountain-town evening. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout the meal.
The steaks were cooked nicely and flavorful, and the sides were fresh and well-seasoned. The only small downside was that the wait time was a bit long, even with a reservation — likely because it’s such a popular spot.
Still, definitely worth a visit if you’re craving a quality steak dinner in Banff!

Wonderful and cosy dining experience. Delicious Steak as expected. Reminds me of the first visit in Toronto. Bar was being renovated, so no cocktails available. The great wine made up for this! Our server Maddie was such a joy and very helpful with our choices. Warm, polite and very attentive. Wonderful memories of our last evening in Banff

Like most Keg restaurants this one is great as well. Service was great and so was everything we ordered. Food came out quickly and the steak was cooked perfectly. Sides were delicious and the ambience of the restaurant was great as well. The only issue is parking but Banff is always busy and parking has been an issue everywhere in town.

The rice is 80% raw. I don’t think this should happen in a $100/person restaurant. Lobster and the soup are too salty but tasty anyway.
The French onion soup shouldn’t be such salty as a starter. Lobster is fresh but the crab legs tastes like from the refrigerator. Steak is great with cute pink inside.
If the rice not raw, I would give a 4-star

I don’t usually give out 5 stars, but The Keg in Banff earned it. The food was seriously impressive. I had the prime rib sandwich—it tasted like the burnt ends of a roast, packed with flavor and cooked just right. My wife got the oven-roasted salmon, and it was baked to perfection. Even the mashed potatoes were next level—loaded with butter and seasoning you don’t find at most places.
Service was fast and friendly, which made the whole experience smooth. They’ve got a kids menu too, which made it easy for us to enjoy a great meal as a family without any hassle.
If you’re in Banff and want a solid, satisfying dinner, this place is worth it.
