Food was awesome! We had pizzas which were SO good! The deviled eggs were great as well. Fairly busy when we went on a Saturday evening. There were a couple large parties so things were slightly behind, but no biggie! The staff were hard at work to keep everything running. Will definitely come back.

Outstanding hideaway in plain sight. Drinks and food are both excellent and while it’s definitely not the cheapest place it isn’t outrageous either. Service is attentive and engaging without hovering and the patio is wonderful when the weather permits. One word of caution, make sure you’re paying attention to the sun and shade sources. The mid afternoon sun can make things uncomfortable quickly if you’re not well positioned. The James (house old fashioned, pictured with this review) is a personal favorite!

okay! i’ve been meaning to try this place because i adore a rooftop bar situation. finally made my way in last night and it did NOT disappoint! love walking up the stairway and being greeted by Anthony. (so great.) he said we could sit wherever and of course we went outside. It is heated nicely, and there is a fantastic indoor/outdoor flow for the bar & for traffic. we were very spoiled on a wednesday night to have barely anyone else there so we could really enjoy the ambiance and soak everything in.

Dinner date at The James on Broadway. What a hidden gem that won’t stay hidden long! First official night with food menu. Clever sharable designed menu. The food was incredible! The trout deviled eggs were everything I wanted them to be! We practically tried everything. The carrot cake with saffron was like nothing I’ve ever had. The pork and beans! Just go try it! We each had 2 different drinks and we enjoyed them all! Love our nights with friends! We will definitely go back!

This place has quickly become our favorite! Pizza, prime rib sandwich, quesadilla–yes please. The bar staff is fun and entertaining by pouring premium spirits and signature drinks in a very small space. Sitting indoors or out, makes no difference because it’s got that downtown friendly vibe and heaters to keep the chill out. You have to visit James!

The food and drinks are great, and the service is stellar. Last time in, they were out of the special, I ended up with an awesome chicken sandwich. You should also get a cocktail. The house old fashioned is amazing, and a must try.

Went first time, great food, service and cocktails. 2nd time, everything but the food was good. Prime rib sandwich/dip lacked meat and bread was not fresh. Third time we were seated and then ghosted. Got up and left and no one said a word.

I was taken here for lunch this past week and it’s absolutely amazing. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We sat at the outside tables on the roof, which provided a great atmosphere for our lunch. Inside was a bit darker and would be quite pleasant for an evening dinner. All in all, I can’t say enough good things about this diamond of the treasure valley.

Came on a Saturday around 11am, only brunch menu available which had more breakfast items than what I would consider a mix of breakfast and lunch; however, what we ordered was fantastic! Visiting an establishment that mentions whiskey, I had to get a cocktail of course, and my old fashioned was great. Our server was pleasant and attentive. Will return for a date night!
