My husband Ordered 2 jambalaya lunches lat feed 2 each. They were 14.49 each. This is what he got. 2 freaking drinking cups of jambalaya.. I asked him why he didn’t bring it back. His response was that we had workers at the house that were starving and he needed to feed them. This was a sad excuse of the amount of food that he was given for that price. One cup of this was barely enough to feed 1 person. I will make sure he never goes here again. They are a rip off. I would rather drive 12 miles to Rice and Roux in Baton Rouge then to ever spend my money at this place again.

Well, our school was having a JAMbalaya LEAP meeting with parents and of course we reached out to the Jambalaya Shoppe to assist. Everyone loved the Jambalaya! Whenever you’re in the area check them out!

Food very bland absolutely no flavor in anything. Everything was literally bland down from the jambalaya, Mac and cheese even the red beans , when I received my food I had to get it and add my own seasonings at home ! Don’t recommend this place at all

Went here 4/15/24 and got the chicken & sausage jambalaya dinner for lunch. I’m hoping the new owners get their issues worked out because for $9.25 I got TWO little rounds of sausage and a huge chunk of chicken. Definitely NOT how it’s supposed to be. I was so disappointed that I didn’t even finish my meal. The sides were good though.

I used to be a regular, this is the second time I’ve tried it since new management. Last time about a month ago, the gumbo was overloaded with onions but I didn’t complain, I thought I’d give just them another chance. Got a gumbo again today and the rice was ice cold and sticky…. So I brought it back and asked them if they’d eat that rice and they said they’d correct it. Got the new “correct”rice and it still wasn’t a new batch for the day. I beeped the horn and sat there for a few mins to ask if they just threw it in the microwave, but they just ignored me so I’m gonna assume that’s what they did. Since I couldn’t get their attention at the window, perhaps I can get their attention here and I really do hope they use this review to improve. Straight into the trash.

This place is my go to! After a busy day, nothing beats a cup of gumbo with potato salad, and if you havent tried it, you should!
After chatting it up with the owner and leaving, i got home to discover my potato salad wasnt included. I gave a quick call, explain the situation and drove back up there. And this is where you can REALLY tell how an establishment is managed. And let me tell you, the owner not only apologized, but gave me some more gumbo in case mine at the house was cold, which it is delicious either way! And a chocolate chip cookie.

The food was delicious, the people were wonderful, and the service was fast!! It was our first time trying Cajun food and it did not disappoint. Would definitely recommend if you’re passing through Louisiana like us!!
