Food: 5 ⭐️ because I’ve never had anything so flavorful and filling in my entire life. Amazing authentic food.
Atmosphere: 5 ⭐️ because the lighting was nice and dim lit by gorgeous hanging lamps instead of bright overhead lights. It was also pretty quiet with soft music.
Service: 5 ⭐️ because of the excellent service. Any silly questions we had, they answered with a smile. Always gave us what we needed. The cook himself is a wonderful person to talk to!
I don’t think we are coming back to this place.
Total is ~42$, not including tips yet.
The so-called South Indian–style chicken, called Madras Chicken, was an odd and unpleasant fusion — they just took poorly cooked butter chicken, added more sugar and some coconut into it to make a Madras chicken.
The naans were another major letdown. They had a buffet going on – which looked extremely dull and cold; that is why we ordered off the menu instead of going for the buffet, but they picked Naan directly from the buffet, and it was cold and undercooked, as if they had been sitting out far too long. Naan is meant to be soft, warm, and freshly baked — this was none of that.
The Biryani was by far the worst item on the menu. It tasted like a chaotic mixture of spices with an overwhelming amount of salt. There was no balance, no flavor, high in salt, boiled chicken inside and no resemblance to what biryani should be.
Overall, the cook and waitress were just some random people off the street, who had no idea about the food business or any of that. Total shame on whoever is running this restaurant.
With such fundamental issues in preparation and quality, it is hard to recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic or even decent Indian cuisine. It appears to me – they are using the name Jaipur Junction as some sort of disguise, as none of the people appeared to have any close resemblance to any part in India, neither Jaipur nor anywhere else in India or any part of the country. Totally pathetic.
Have been a customer for over a decade. Very cordial and polite staff. Weekend buffet have decent entree options and the buffet quality is consistent. You can also order from the main menu if the buffet doesn’t present what you’re in the mood for. Dinner portions are better than average size, we usually end up with a take home box.
My wife tried Chicken Korma. It has nice flavors too. Spice level is not to our satisfaction, a great place to dine in or take out.
