Had one bad experience with Ivy years ago but I wanted to give it another try and I’m glad I did. The Bath branch was really nice! The staff was really friendly and caring. The Lady who served us was very nice and efficient too. The food was also delicious and generous. I recommend the lobster soufflé, the bread and the fish cakes. Will definitely come back again!

Visited The Ivy Bath Brasserie and loved the classic British restaurant feel. The ambience is elegant yet relaxed, and what impressed me most was the good choice of vegetarian and vegan dishes. The food was genuinely very nice—well presented, well balanced, and full of flavour. Service was warm and polished, making it a great spot for a calm, enjoyable meal in the heart of Bath.

The prices are very high for what you get, there is a set menu but the options are very limited, especially when the blackened cod (which must be popular) is sold out. That being said it’s a nice place for a special occasion, with nice cocktails and good service.

The peanut satay skewers were very nice but the chicken Milanese was a bit bland (and you need to pay £6 extra for a side!) however the little birthday profiterole was very welcome and a nice touch.

Ivy experience away from London in October 25. It is never a good sign when the experience is ruined on just reaching the reception desk. Sadly this was what happened on our visit where the receptionist/ a lady with a hair in bun had such a foul and condescending attitude towards our party/.
It was simply uncalled for and her behaviour and attitude not to the standard of usual Ivy London experience..

Having said above another lady receptionist , who greeted us on our return/ as we had to wait outdoors / has been wonderful and greeted us warmly for our booking at 4:30 for my husband’s 62nd birthday.

The server was lovely and friendly too

The atmosphere was good,

The servers and management seemed stressed, tired and a bit tense however our lady server was accommodating and pleasant.
Food arrived a bit late as we have spent more than anticipated for our late birthday lunch but maybe we are just more used to London 2 hour table limit.

In general good was lovely, do try aubergine , sea bass and arancini. Also chicken schnitzel.
As a b’day treat do go for chocolate bombe, melted in front of your eyes. Heaven

In all a good visit and 62nd birthday with the family

Ivy do remind reception to treat every customer without prejudice and accommodate families with teenagers. They will be your future customers!

It would’ve been a full star visit has it not been for very unpleasant initial encounter with a receptionist. Oh and our return she started laughing I. Front of us and putting her head in a male receptionist shoulder , bad mouthing a lively blonde receptionist who had actually tried to assist with our booking!

Thank you to our server a lovely manager who cleared our table and a birthday treat for my husband!

We went for valentines and had a lovely experience.
Our server Thomas made our evening extra special.
The food and cocktails were lovely, so much so we booked again (8 people) for a family reunion 2 days later.
Servers and chefs all 5***** for us.
Regards Wendy & Andrew

I had an excellent experience at The Ivy in Bath. The food was delicious and the staff were on another level, they were all friendly, welcoming and helpful. I only caught the names for Jamie and Maja, but they were all lovely.

I particularly enjoyed the starter and the dessert and would recommend a visit.

One of the best Ivy locations in the UK—not just in terms of ambience, but also because the quality of food is spot-on. The service is impeccable, and the restaurant is right in the heart of Bath city centre. It’s buzzing throughout the day, and whenever you walk in, it’s always busy. Every time I’m in Bath, I make sure to have at least one meal here. Reservations aren’t required in the mornings, even on weekends. Breakfast is served until 11 am on weekends and until 11:30 am on weekdays, with an excellent English breakfast available.

We had the Sunday Roast, Black Cod and Truffle & Parmesan Fries, and were pleasantly surprised by how delicious and unpretentious everything was! Everything was also well priced considering the upscale look of the restaurant. Some servers were a little snooty, perhaps more noticeably since we’re Asian, but honestly it wasn’t the worst!

The service was very very slow and we asked for sparkling water 3 times before they remembered. The food was ok- but for the price, I expected more. The chocolate bomb dessert was a let down because the caramel sauce was at too hard of a stage and turned into rock very quickly. Everything was a bit underseasoned. The scallops were great but small.

We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at The Ivy in Bath. We started with a delicious crab appetizer and a flavorful duck salad, followed by a perfectly cooked chicken breast served in a rich truffle sauce and an outstanding steak in peppercorn sauce that simply melted in the mouth.

For dessert, we indulged in an incredible treat — ice cream enclosed in a chocolate bomb with a silky chocolate mousse, beautifully melted by hot caramel sauce poured over the top. It was divine!

The décor was stunning, the atmosphere was calm and elegant, making it the perfect place to celebrate special moments with loved ones. The service was excellent — attentive and professional without being intrusive.

We highly recommend The Ivy and will definitely return on our next visit to Bath!
