We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, which immediately set a positive tone for our visit.
The food truly exceeded our expectations. We traveled from the GTA, and honestly, the quality and taste here were far better than many restaurants we’ve tried back home. The steamed chicken momos were simple yet packed with flavor—perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The hot and sour chicken soup was refreshing, well-balanced, and comforting. The shrimp chilli dry was hands down one of the highlights of the meal—full of flavor and cooked to perfection.
We also tried the non-vegetarian platter, which was very satisfying and a great option to sample a variety of dishes. The only item that didn’t quite suit my taste was the lamb biryani, but that’s purely a personal preference and didn’t take away from the overall experience.
Overall, everything else was outstanding, and the experience felt almost too good to be true. Excellent food, warm service, and a welcoming atmosphere—definitely a place worth visiting and recommending.

We had the butter chicken which had a unique taste and this is a good thing, because I eat butter chicken everywhere I travel and this was by far the best. Also the tandoori chicken wings were very tasty and cooked to perfection. We also had a dry chili chicken (forget the name) and it was delicious as well. I highly recommend this place and next time I am in PEI, I will make sure to stop in again. BTW, the waitress was very nice Thanks for this experience. God bless.

We had a great experience here! The chicken lollipop and Bombay fish dry were flavorful, crispy, and well-seasoned- a perfect start.
For dinner- the butter naan, daal makhani, and lamb kadai curry were all rich, fresh, and cooked perfectly.
The portions were generous, and the service was friendly and quick. Cozy atmosphere and great taste overall- would definitely visit again!

Island Restro is one of our very fav places to go in Charlottetown… consistently delicious food and exceptional service and always very clean eating area and wash rooms … family owned and operated …always a wonderful experience!! Thank You Island Restro!!! Chow mein is top notch and the veg pekoras and Momos and Bombay chicken as well and Lamb Curry!! Consistently great!!

This has become a go-to spot for hearty, delicious, downtown dining. The service is always very friendly, and the menu has a great selection to fit whatever you’re craving. The hot and sour soup is perfect to warm up on a damp, cold day, and the szechuan chow mein has that scrumptious char grill flavor that makes you want to go back for more. Their chicken momo (dumplings) are little flavor bombs, especially with the tasty dipping sauce. I don’t have any more pictures because we always dig in too quickly. I highly recommend checking this place out, whether it’s for take-out or dine-in. I will certainly be back to explore more menu options!

Easily the best food in town! Butter chicken with a side of cheese naan is heavenly! Cauliflower 65 is a stand out as well.

Quaint, small restaurant. Very clean a menu that offers a lot of variety, Indian, Japanese, and Chinese. Our waiter robin was very attentive and most helpful. Robin obliged with a little extra homemade spice. It kicked up the chow mein, several notches, which was good to begin with. The hot and sour soup was perfect.

First time visiting this place, and to my surprise the menu is halal. The lady who served us is very friendly. The order came fast. We ordered chicken lollipop, lamb kadai, momo chicken, tandoori chicken with naan and vegetables pakora. Everything is flavorful. Definitely will go back. Maybe not on the weekend next time, so hard to find parking.
