The views are amazing! The staff was friendly BUT the food was horrible! Got the salmon and the sauce tasted horrible and the side salad was so salty. The beef on the bruschetta was so chewy and the balsamic was so overpowering and too much(think half of it would of been perfect). The fries could have been decent but were soggy, but the toppings flavor were good just wish they had been crispy.

Island Bar and Grill has a fantastic view. I had no idea it was on the opposite side of Pace Bend Park until we stumbled on it, and it looks like a castle mansion from afar. We saw this building before and made jokes about it on the other side of the river. It’s inside a gated community, so you have to call them on the portal at the gate, and parking was a bit confusing despite some signs. We tried the smash burger and the pesto chicken sandwich. The burger was underseasoned, and the chicken sandwich didn’t taste like pesto at all, though the chicken was grilled nicely. The bun was super sweet, which was a weird match for the sandwich but tasty on its own. Our sides of grilled green beans and broccolini were expertly grilled but way too salty. My other complaint was that the veggie juices soaked into the bottom bun—separate containers would help. The highlight was the parmesan fries, perfectly crispy with those little crumbles you love. The table beside us were drunk and being super loud. Overall a cool spot for the view, and the price is decent (15 for a burger with sides). We also took a stroll in the area after the filling meal.

First time here and we had a lovely time! Can’t beat the beautiful view and spectacular vibes. Food was tasty, affordable, served timely and delicious. Dustin was so kind and welcoming! Would highly recommend the chicken pesto pasta, salmon, baked potato and herb parmesan fries. A treasure in Lago Vista!

Astounding view and atmosphere! Amazing and affordable priced food! Incredible staff with great personality and hospitality! Beautiful tasty drinks at a great price! Excellent food! Excellent atmosphere! Great family and service. We got the top of the line menu items and they were WELL worth it! I got the Ribeye steak with broccoli and green beans. My wife got the swordfish casino. For appetizer we got the Parmesan fries! All were fresh and left you saying, “hmmhmm” after every bite. Only open Thursday-Saturday. On 2nd floor, easy to find. If you’re staying at the Highland Lake Estate, you MUST eat here.

Great addition to the neighborhood. My swordfish was cooked perfectly. My folks really liked their salmon and crab cakes. Service was top notch. Reasonable prices. The beautiful lake view is icing on the cake.

Love it! I had the sword fish and it was absolutely amazing! The portion was huge, but I sent it all down anyways simply because it was so tasty!! The cocktail English Garden is now officially my favorite! Getting inside the community, parking with a large car and finding the restaurant were challenging but it will be routine for the next time!

The food was delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The Island Smash Burger was amazing and so were the fries. The drinks were great, and the prices were reasonable compared to most places. What truly stood out was the exceptional service provided by the wait staff. They were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the entire meal, making sure we had everything we needed.
Overall, I highly recommend!
