Food is fairly good based on today and several years of coming here. Bartenders are great , but table servers lack sense of attention and friendliness. Surprised by quality of serving glasses notice the chip on the plastic wine glass. No draft beers but plenty of alcohol choices for mixed drinks. Lots of locals are regularly here. Atmosphere is semi quiet, except for the occasional children and teens. Live entertainment on Saturdays. Slow-cooked BBQ on property that many people order, but have not personally tried it. Great outdoors view.

This is a great place on Lake Texoma that has a Florida feel with good food. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the structure, it has to close at the end of October until the Spring.

The food is always delicious, my margaritas were DELICIOUS and the atmosphere is always great. Sometimes the wait can be a little long but who cares, we don’t come here to rush anyway. The servers are always nice and respectful.

Nice atmosphere. Great scenery. Staff is professional and friendly and attentive. Drinks are a little strong (mixed drinks) and priced about right. Stay away from the pizza, unless you miss your old skating rink days. Overall, probably would be back for another visit.

Atmosphere was nice, service was friendly and food was ok. The taco salad was good and the portion size was perfect for me however my husband had the french dip and the portion was small, not much meat. The live music was nice but a little loud, we couldn’t carry on a conversation at the table. Overall we love that we had a place to stop on the water, safely park the boat and grab a drink and a quick bite.

We love the Island Bar and Grill! It is right on the water of Lake Texoma and has both indoor and outdoor seating. Dogs are allowed outside (patio seating) and most patio tables have umbrellas for shade. Yes, the Island overlooks the marina with ramps down to the boat dock. The food is excellent and fresh, there are many choices for alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and the music is a good mix (glad they don’t play rap, lol). I’m gluten sensitive and they have several food choices I can enjoy (stuffed avocados are delish!) On Sunday, they have $3 Mimosas all day long.
In the fall, they are only open on weekends through October.

Outstanding! I was looking for a fun place to ride my Harley to (I live in Allen TX) and thought I’d give this a try. I was a little concerned after reading some of the other reviews about food, service, music etc. but I went anyway. I had so much fun I went back two says later. Both times the service was outstanding! The food is very good “bar food” and the sidewinder fries are great. (It’s not fine dining but better than most bar food). The views on the lake/marina were perfect. Very well stocked bar with fair prices all around. For the riders out there, find back roads to Prosper/Celina then take Preston north until you are practically there. Preston is very rural up there. (I went to Anna then west on 455 through Weston and in to Preston. It added 15 miles but was super pretty). It’s 60 miles from lifetime Fitness at Lake Forest and 121 in Allen).

The island is a great lakeside restaurant. It’s located right in the heart of Highport Marina and Lake Texoma . The food is great the staff are really laid back. The deck and ambience of the restaurant is great.
