A great spot to catch a game. Friendly atmosphere and good + bar food – appetizers. Service was alittle slow but the restaurant was busy with the football playoff games going on. Smaller place but great vibes. We will definitely be back!!!

All Aboard!! Or not At Manasquan, NJ, one can hop on a train and head to Bay Head, or just mosey on in to The Irish Rail for a nice dinner and drinks.
Even though they are “home to the #1 burgers in Manasquan!”we opted for fish and chips and their “famous Irish potato soup.”
Bonus, we got to see the 8pm train to Bay Head pull in just 8 minutes late on Day 30 of 50 Days of Trains.
Our waitress was very welcoming and attentive. Food was good. Accessible. ♿️

“Famous” Irish potato soup does not make The Irish Rail Irish. This is a pub, and the menu is bereft of anything Irish other than a soup. There is a Guinness stew and you can get a glass of Guinness. But that’s pretty common anywhere.
As an obviously not-Irish pub, this place is pretty cool. Service and food is good, and a nice pub vibe. Lots of TVs to watch sports. I got a chicken parm sandwich and upgraded to tater tots of which there were many and yummy.
I recommend as a pub, but you’ll need to look elsewhere for Irish fare.

Great little spot nestled in downtown Manasquan right by the train station. Good amount of seating for the size and a nice bar area. Grab a drink before your train or come to watch a game, the atmosphere is warm and you are bound to run into someone you know. All the drinks you can think of and a surprisingly large menu, the food here is a welcomed surprise. Delicious and reasonably priced, I struggle to find something on the menu which I have not thoroughly enjoyed ( try the French dip!). Trivia here is a must! And Steve the bartender/trivia master is a consummate professional and is guaranteed to have you laughing within minutes of walking through the door.
A must stop whenever I am taking the train into the city or need a warm meal and a beer after a long day at work

Picked up a family member from the train decided to eat here. Service was terribly slow. Waitress apologized a few times. Ordering took forever once drink order placed it took 20 minutes before we got our drinks. Waited about 40 minutes to get our food. Only thing we got was a lot of apologies but no compensation.

People are nice, but not good bartenders ,they tend to locals first , which is understandable, but sat for 40 mins waiting, the food is par for jersey, but expensive for the quality 16.50 for a burger. Drinks are fairly priced, cool location in a train station. Prolly would come back but not during peak hrs.

This is a great local bar. Staff is friendly and knows everyone. Great place to just hang out and the food is really good. Only reason I’m giving it a 4 star is food took alittle long to get other then that food was delicious, staff was pleasant and it’s a cool place to hang out on a slow night. I would go back again!

Wasn’t sure what to expect. Went there because burgers had good reviews. Self seating service -server was friendly but waited 20 minutes for our food. Server never engaged with our table but the table next to us receive their drinks and food quickly and the server engaged with them extensively. Not sure why but this place isn’t anything special. Burgers ok. More interested in good service. The Black swan in Asbury Park has great service and excellent food. I guess I expected too much.
