I’ve been here a couple of times now and always have a good time. Even if something goes wrong the management will make it right.
The parking lot is small and tight, so be careful pulling in. The restaurant itself is small, the Sunday brunch fills up fast and so does the dinner hour.
The food has always been served hot, and the beer is cold. They have a selection of whiskeys and scotches from America, Ireland and Scotland.

I was excited to check out the Irish Penny
The menu seemed exciting with lots of different choices. We were in Maryland so we got there great decor inside I love the girls outfits. Great atmosphere they make a great dark & stormy. The Irish Egg rolls awesome I shouldn’t have gotten them for my meal. The little boy who delivers the food has no clue how to do deal with an issue. My mom got the crab dip and my husband got the Corn beef boxty the kid brought me so turkey dinner when I order the famous pretzel burger he looked at me deer in high lights and left came back and it will be out in a few minutes Carmen are server was stressed that I didn’t get my food we order another around of drinks she brought I still had gotten my food. So my burger finally came I didn’t eat it right away but mid rare it wasn’t it was over cooked. My guess when child picked up the wrong food they over cooked my burger. It left a bad taste in my mouth. I know could complain but then wait another 40 minutes for another burger. My mom loved her Crab dip my husband loved his boxty. I think mistake here is the girl taking your order knows your order but the child delivering it doesn’t know the order. I saw him just standing doing nothing. And the bathroom needs an a door stop or something when not in use. People were blaming on the doors yelling is anyone in there. I have been to other restaurants where there is a door stopper when it’s not in use . There chips are good they are a potato slice up.

Also the Booths if there is someone sitting behind you and there move around a lot you can feel there every move. Not comfortable.

Food was really good. I had never had a boxty before but it was great. Very generous portions as well.

The food and service were spectacular, but I have to say the best part of the dining experience was the atmosphere. The food was good with a great flavor palette and offers not only Irish cuisine but also Irish American plates, yet was slow to come out in my opinion, but definitely worth the wait.

Went here with my family for a Father’s Day brunch around 10:30am party of 10ppl. Never been here but my sister-in-law made the reservation and I thought it was a nice place. Server said this was her first brunch and I thought she did well for the type of day it was. Only issue was that the egg on the eggs benedict was over cooked. It was taken back and another set was made the way its supposed to. Overall a wonderful dining experience.

Stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon. Had not been before.
We started off with some soup. I had the potato leek and the wife had the broccoli and cheese. Both were very good. The leek was not overbearing.
Next we tried the boom boom shrimp. It was fried shrimp with a nice sauce. Not the best I’ve ever had but pretty darn good.
For our entrees, we had the steak boxty and the seafood boxty. The wife loved her steak and the seafood was pretty good. I would have liked the potato pancake to be cooked just a bit more.
For dessert we had the bread pudding. It was said to be made at the restaurant. I was a bit disappointed. The top was cold and the bottom was like warm. It’s consistency was a bit on the soggy side. Not my favorite.
Service was very good. Jillian was our server. She was very friendly and attentive. She made the experience very pleasant.

Great Irish place to come and eat dinner. All the food we had was good. In my opinion it’s the typical Irish bar food if you been to one Irish pub you have been to them all. If you plan on eating here make sure to make reservations as it’s not a huge place so it fills up quick. I believe they also do breakfast and lunch if that’s your thing. There is also a limited menu because of covid. Will definitely be back for wings they were nice and crispy just the way I like them. All in all great time and food. The large pretzel is amazing one of the best pretzels I have had.

We went for a late lunch yeaterday. My husband had the fish and chips and loved it. Large portion of fish, very nice. I ordered the Corned Beef Boxty, which says in the description, “thick cut corned beef”. I have never seen corned beef cut so slim and in such tiny pieces ever. I got onions in it instead of cabbage and there was plenty of them. It tasted good, but lacking corned beef, most of it was on top and not much inside the boxty. If I were to guess there was maybe 1, max 2, total regular (thin) sliced pieces of corned beef in it. I took a picture before eating and side view after eating 1/2 and then finally I opened it up and thought “where’s the beef?” The server was also bartending and she was phenomenal.

Great food! Packed bc is St. Patrick’s Day weekend so we had to wait, but that wasn’t their fault! I can see why everyone wanted to go there!

We enjoyed everything at Irish Penny. The pretzel was monster and really good. Turkey turnover was good, shepherds pie was excellent as well as the seafood with potato pancakes. Loved the sweet onion dressing in salad. Simple things done well, homemade in quality. Definitely visiting again.
