The most Farm to Table experience I’ve ever had… Everything was fresh, hot, and cooked perfectly! Best spinach and artichoke dip ive ever had and the steak to tot ratio was amazing Then ordered 3 prime ribs and kids hot dog.. I had asked for one of the Prime ribs to have the larger end cap, the owner came out informed me I could have that piece but it would be medium.. I chose the medium rare instead and it was cooked absolutely perfect. The only thing I didn’t really care for was the butter poach shrimp.. The star of the show was definitely there though, it is wood smoked.. I normally am not a fan but it was light and just right..

Absolutely the best steakhouse in the area—no contest. Iowa Primehouse is worth the drive and then some. The quality of the steak, the flavor, the service—everything is on another level compared to anything nearby. If you’re debating where to go, stop looking and just come here. It easily beats other local options and feels like a true destination steakhouse. We’ll be making this our go-to spot anytime we want a great meal. Highly recommend the steaks (obviously) but the tator tot nachos and spinach artichoke dip apps were excellent too.

The food overall was good, great presentation. Wasn’t a huge fan of the drunken strawberries. Seating is very limited, definitely make reservations.

I am a truck driver loading locally and got held up over night they seemed to be the only place around. I was in dirty work clothes from the day and wasn’t sure what to expect but instead I was welcomed with open arms and big smiles while small it was comfortable. The staff was fantastic and I was happy to learn they source their meat locally. I appreciate the small menu and limited choices I personally ordered the ribeye shrimp carrots and mashed potatoes with a garden salad and bread pudding for dessert. The steak was beautifully cooked and so tender I personally would have preferred more seasoning and maybe a little more juice with the steak and more butter on the shrimp but I prefer bold flavors. The steak and the bread pudding was the star of the show and it was incredible. I appreciate that “Iowa nice attitude” it was great. Thank you!

What a fantastic meal and a great restaurant! My friends and I tried the 10 oz petite filet. I chose buttered broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes for my 2 sides. My friends had salads and asparagus. The meal also comes with a delicious dinner roll. Everything was AMAZING!! The steak was tender, juicy, and so flavorful! The broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes were perfect! Portion sizes are large and very generous. I really didn’t have room for dessert, but…oh well! When a scrumptious rhubarb crisp is on the menu, you just have to try it! Our server was also very nice and friendly, as was our hostess. Definitely recommend checking out this restaurant! But I do suggest making reservations as it gets very busy.

This is by far one of the best steakhouses in Iowa. The food is absolutely amazing. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The owners even came out and asked if we enjoyed our meal. We will definitely be coming back again and regularly. I highly recommend The Iowa Primehouse if you’re looking for a wonderful meal.

We ate here last night and I’m still thinking about it!! It is definitely worth the drive. We had all the apps and I had the filet with the mashed potatoes a salad and a roll. Everything we tried was SO GOOD. We were all so impressed! Definitely coming back and bringing more people!

Best restaurant in NE Iowa. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is laid back and welcoming, and the staff is beyond exceptional. The chef came to our table to check on our meal and even shook our hands as we left. We had our 90+ year old grandparents with us and they always talk about how delicious the food is and how amazing the staff is.

What a wonderful surprise to find this unassuming restaurant so extraordinary! We were a party of six, and we were all first-timers at The Iowa Primehouse. AND…we are all foodies of various degrees. Our meals were sublime, perfectly seasoned, exceptionally plated, and utterly delicious. My husband and I decided that our meal was the best meal we had ever eaten in Iowa– it was that good. The prices were fair, the service friendly, and the bar amply stocked. I love the farm to table mission they are on, too. We’ve always wanted to find a more local restaurant we could call “our place”, and I think we’ve found it!
