They were somewhat busy when we arrived, but were seated at a high top overlooking the main drag. We started with burnt ends that were just okay. The sauce and pickled onions were better than the ends themselves, they were very tough and chewy. My wife had birria tacos which she said had great taste and flavor. I also went taco, but pulled pork for me. They were oh so tender and juicy with a burst of flavor in every bite. We knew going in that dessert was going to be eaten and the Carrot Cake was worth the wait. From the candied walnuts to the homemade cream cheese icing and carmel drizzle every bite was worth a standing ovation. I over heard another table ask about the Bigos and I had to try it, so I got an order to go. IMO the Bigos was the best item we had there, well worth trying. Overall the service was good aa things were starting to get busy just after we’d arrived. Will definitely stop in for the Bigos whenever we’re in town.

Absolutely have to stop if you are traveling here. Growing up my dad LOVED Lake Superior white fish…as a kid I didn’t. Visited this place and order the white fish, which comes fresh off the boat in the morning. It was amazing! Can’t believe I didn’t like it as a kid! Also had this really creative Michigan blueberry Old Fashioned, which was so unique and very good. We ate here twice it was sooo good. Can’t wait to get back. Service was also great – not too busy when we at there, but it can get busy so plan ahead.

There were many cars in front of the Inn, so we took that as a good sign and ate there. We only had to wait a few minutes. Tim had the meatloaf sandwich and I had the walleye. Both were delicious! The only thing I didn’t care for was the fries. They were limp.
We both ordered a piece of the famous carrot cake! We should have ordered one piece and shared it, however, it was delicious as leftovers the next day. My friend Amy actually makes better cake, but the frosting was outstanding! And the drizzle was delicious too. (No insult about the cake intended – it was very good – but Amy’s cake is truly the best in existence. In the world carrot cake bake off championship, she would win hands down.)

This was my first time to the area and I honestly didn’t know what to expect from the local restaurants. From the nostalgic building to the AMAZING staff. Let me just say, this place didn’t disappoint! This was Honestly the best nachos I have probably ever had, to the amazing pulled pork Mac n cheese. I would 1000% recommend this establishment. Thank you for the great experience!

Only 5 stars? I wish I could give them 10!
This was our first time visiting the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and wow the food is just splendid. This was the first restaurant we tried in town and it did not disappoint.
Our family of 6 came in shortly after noon and upon entering were happy to see there was seating available for us. The table cover they used was great since our kiddo was able to draw on it with crayons thus creating less mess.
We ordered the chili cheese fries as appetizer which were very good and a great portion for all of us to share!! We also had the pork tacos, the inn burgers, 3 piece fish & chips, side salad, and the river hog. Everything was simply fresh and amazing. The pictures does not do it justice, the portions are Texas big. The river hog was absolutely amazing, I am drooling just thinking about it. My only regret is not having had carrot cake everyone has raved about. Maybe next time
10/10 recommend. Cheers from Texas ✌

I think the INN is probably 5 stars most nights. My fries were good quality but had been sitting around for a minute. The chicken Caesar wrap lacked enough Caesar dressing so I ordered some extra dressing, which I was charged for. I’d come back and give it another go.

A wonderful U.P. dining experience. The fresh whitefish was perfect and the mozzarella sticks were the best I’ve ever had. The photos of the carrot cake do not do it justice….the slice is GIGANTIC!
